I am a native English speaker who has a passion for teaching. I would love to help you to speak better or read more confidently. I am very patient and will help you at your speed.
Hi! My name is Beckie and I have played music for all of my life. I play and teach many different instruments such as the French horn, trumpet, piano, saxophone, mandolin, guitar, and voice.
I have my Masters in Music on French horn as well as two bachelor degrees in music performance on French horn and music education.
My first job was as at a Montessori Academy elementary school, where I was the brass coach for 3 years. This is where I fell in love with teaching. I have been teaching privately for 16 years now and love the one-on-one attention that I can give the students.
I have worked with many great organizations like the Los Angeles Philharmonic and various music studios/orchestras around Los Angeles.
I currently am a freelance musician, Elementary school music teacher, brass coach for two local high schools and a p
rivate music teacher! I perform with orchestras and groups all around the Los Angeles area. I have performed in such wonderful venues as the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Sydney Opera house, in which I was able to premier a piece!
I look forward to working with you or your child in helping to start or continue a musical instrument!
*** Lesson Details *** When I teach lessons, I like to check in with the student to see how their day was and how practicing throughout the week went. I am very patient and will teach at the student's pace. I expect the student to practice during the week, even if for just 10 minutes a day. I will always work with a student as long as it takes to have them understand what is difficult for them musically.
For music, I like to use books. When we choose a book to play out of, I like to choose a book together so that the parent and the child are happy about the selection. Books vary based on what the needs are for each student. Books are to be purchased by the parent.
I usually play my instruments with the students, but being a freelance musician, I may need to save my chops for an upcoming gig. Not always, but happens from time to time :)
I also have a 24-hour cancellation/lesson change policy. If you are late for your lesson, I will try to accommodate the time but may have students or rehearsals afterward so it will not always be a guarantee. If you are going to be late, please text me BEFORE the scheduled lesson and make sure I confirm that I received your message. Lessons are to be every week as I DO NOT teach bi-weekly lessons.
*** Studio Equipment *** Lesson space is in my home w/ seating for parents and music stand for students. I also have a cat and a dog, so if you are allergic, please let me know! The dog and the cat are put away for the lessons as to not distract either one of us! They are pretty cute, though!
*** Travel Equipment *** I expect the student to provide music books and their own instruments and music stand.
*** Specialties *** I specialize in classical genres of playing but I am able to teach all different styles of music.
Outstanding instructor! Beckie is very positive and encouraging and my son has learned so much in just a few weeks. My son looks forward to his session each week. She is also an amazing musician herself and plays her instrument side by side with my son which allows him to hear and learn the individual notes.

This was my first time modeling in a show, and my overall experience was great. Tamika provided great feedback regarding walking, using modeling stance, posing, and how to have fun and interact with the audience. She chose awesome people to walk for her in the show, and we all got along really well. Tamika communicated professionally and respectfully to her models. She also provided all of the clothing for the show which was great because I did not have to come out of pocket to get additional clothing. I would suggest that she get an assistant to help her on the day of the show.

I have received training in the Spalding curriculum, as well as the Action Reading curriculum. I have tutored students in reading and spelling from grades 1 through 6 and I have taught English as a Second Language and am SEI certified. I strongly believe in teaching reading phonetically and systematically.
I graduated from the University of Idaho in May 2014. I earned my degree in Instrumental Music Education and have been teaching privately for since 2008. My main instrument is violin, and I am qualified to teach viola, and cello. Before moving to Arizona, I taught many violin students through my own private studio and through the University of Idaho Preparatory Division. My students ranged from ages 3 to 50. I have taught private instrumental lessons to grades 2-8 at a private school and I currently work as a full time 5th grade classroom teacher at a Great Hearts school. I continued their intermediate orchestra program and started the beginning orchestra program in the 2015-2016 school year. In the 2016-2017 school year, I piloted a successful beginning instruments club. The majority of my experience is with students age 3 through 9th gr
As for general education, I have completed my certification classes for grades 1-8 and will be submitting the paperwork in the summer of 2019. I have taught as a lead teacher for 5th grade for 3 years, and have experience working in 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms. Additionally, I have tutored students from first grade through middle school in math and reading/grammar/writing.
I primarily teach lessons in the Gilbert area where I teach full time. I also accept lessons in Tempe and Mesa. Students outside of this area are welcome to travel to my house in Tempe. My travel availability is limited, but my home studio availability is far more flexible.
Brianna has helped me progress with my violin rapidly, and she is very patient and kind. Her studio is great and there is a calm, quiet atmosphere there. I would recommend her to anyone that loves the violin and wishes to progress in their learning.

A native French speaker, I have been tutoring students of all levels since 2008. I was the main French and German Instructor, as well as a private English tutor, at the San Jose Learning Center in the Silicon Valley before moving to New York.
The core of my lessons are drawn from a language book, which allows the student to work at his or her own pace during the week.
The lessons themselves are then spent reviewing previous work, as well as introducing new material in a variety of ways, all the while engaging in various forms of dialogues depending on your level.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
I hope to hear from you, meet you, and work with you!
Bonjour a tous!
A native French speaker, I have been tutoring students of all levels since 2008. I was the main French and German Instructor at the San Jose Learning Center in the Silicon Valley before moving to New York.
The core of my lessons are drawn from language books, which allows everyone to work at his or her own pace during the week. This is supplemented by tailored PDFs that target your particular interests.
Lessons always begin with a dialogue, no matter your level. From how you are feeling, to what you did during the week, to the weather of your best friend's gossip, we warm up with a conversation I type out as we go.
The rest of the lesson is then spent reviewing previous work and introducing new material in a variety of ways, constantly setting a rule in practice. Poems, songs or texts, depen
ding on your interest, keep the content alive and interesting.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
I hope to hear from you, meet you, and work with you!
For 25+ years I've worked with kids from elementary to high school in grammar, writing, and reading. I've had experience in writing and editing and turning kids from non-writers into writers. We'll learn a lot and have fun doing it!
Hi, everyone! Do you want your student to improve in math? Does your student need someone to help with developing writing or grammar or reading skills? Would you like your student to be able to throw a football 75 yards in the air?
If you answered "Yes" to any of those questions, I can help! (Except for the one about the football; maybe your student should try pumping iron or something.)
I've worked with kids in math and English for many years, including my own (my wife and I have four graduates), and I enjoy making subjects fun and interesting with students, while we get the job done.
Some valuable learning, a pat on the back, and a shot of confidence: that's what I offer to families. Thanks for checking me out!

So you want to learn to speak English fluently? Well, you've come to the right teacher! Luckily for you, English was my first language and I even got perfect grades in English throughout all of my school years. I love to read and write on my free time and enjoy teaching others to do the same! I am currently trying to learn French as my third language so I understand how difficult learning a new language can be some times. So don't worry, with me as your teacher, you will feel comfortable, confident, and ready to have a conversation in English with friends, family members, and strangers in no time!
Hi there! I am a recent graduate from the FIU School of Business. I am passionate about teaching students and plan to open a non-profit one day. My experience includes 6 years of tutoring students of all ages, including students with Special needs. During that time I successfully taught students an array of subjects ranging from reading comprehension, basic math, and science, to organization and study skills, SAT prep, and business calculus.
Tutoring and teaching students is something that comes naturally to me because I love helping others watching them grow. Teaching English is my favorite subject to teach because it was my first language, so it's incredibly easy to me, but I also love the language!
"He has got high academic awards, great resume in teaching which help him know what he is doing."
"Patient to teach and with good personality. I'm enjoying the classes with her"
"I think it will be nice experience. A lot of speech, a lot of practice. It is the most important things for language knowledge."
"Anna received the "Best English Teacher" award when she taught high school for LAUSD. Not only was she deserving of this award, but Anna is truly an expe
rtise in her field. She has always maintained a professional rapport with her students and is able to develop lessons for all her individual student's needs."
"You are the best teacher! I enjoyed our first lesson a lot, thank you so much and I am looking forward to next week!!!! :-)"
"When I came to the US my English language level was not great. I had studied in school in Turkey, but my pronunciation was difficult to understand and the
grammar was impossible for me. I have been taking classes for about 1.5 years now with Micah and another instructor that works for her, and I have improved a lot. I have even been giving presentations at my job now. I am an engineer.
I was not expecting to improve my level like that in 1.5 years. Learn English or Spanish LLC has talented teachers. Now I am planning to take the TOEFL in 6 months, and I will prepare for it with them. After that, my goal is a Masters degree. I highly recommend classes with them.
They are extremely effective teachers."
"Anna, is a very good teacher with loads of patience. My mom is very satisfied with her. We will keep her on!"
"Very patient and excellent at explaining the work."
