Great teacher! We were so happy to have found Alex.
Leander
Alex is a terrific instructor, who adjusts lessons based on what the student wants to accomplish. For example, my goals include learning the instruments (baritone uke in octave mandolin tuning and concert uke in mandolin tuning), fingerpicking, playing both melody lines and chords, being able to determine what chords to use without sheet music. So we work on music theory and ear training a lot, as well as learning tunes. Very good instructor who is both flexible and knowledgeable...highly recommend him to others.

Kristian really Knows his music. Taught me how to pick up guitar in be playing basics in a few weeks, and then really started pulling it all apart for me to allow me to become a music lover and guitarist that I am today. My classes are very flexible when it comes to what the student wants. On the first class, I give the student the choice of controlling our lessons materials about what they want to learn. Or the student can choose to let me control our classes, in which I will bring my own materials and ideas in which we should work and will go through the whole academic process of learning music.

Have been teaching for many years and know that each student has their own mindset and we need to work around each person`s goals and interests. Hello! I have been teaching guitar for over 7 years now. Form beginners to advanced students I make it my duty to find the students interests and help them develop their own sound. As a Berklee College of Music graduate I have studied composition and music production, skills that I am happy to teach any student. In addition to teaching guitar my students have the option to learn music theory, as well as recording and mixing original compositions that we develop together in class and as homework assignments (DAWs - Logic & Protools). My specialities include Blues, Classic Rock, Jazz & electronic beat production.

About Farrokh

I have been playing guitar, piano, bass, ukulele and drums for 11 years now (teaching for 8 years). As a teenager I started playing all kinds of music and quickly became obsessed. At the age of 21 (2013) I went to Berklee College of Music where I studied guitar, composition and music production fo

I'm not young, and I'm hard to teach music theory to, but he was patient, and is helping me figure a way into learning important stuff that I find kinda dry and not fun to practice. (I'm a good player, but music theory is very challenging to me.)

Guy's a legend and he's not even 30 I don't think. You will love learning to play with Spencer!!!!!
Miguel Tomas
I am taking Spencer's advanced course at the moment, and I gotta say... This guy is just prodigious.
He's really personable, so in our first lessons, I learned that he taught himself to play by ear, like many of the greats.
What is really helping me play better, is something he calls the art of transformation; something he learned from listening to rare vinyl records nearly 100 years old.
Not only will you get better at guitar, but if you ask Spencer, you will learn many interesting facts about music and it's evolution.

Starting on violin 15 years ago, my journey through musicianship has been thorough and enriching. I have made a point from day one to understand all forms of music from several angles, from the intuitive "natural" approach, to the more theoretical, all the way to understanding the physics of sound and sound cognition. While this many angled approach came purely from my passion for music, 6 years ago when I started teaching it became my most valuable tool.
As a teacher, I use my wide and multifaceted understanding to best craft lessons to serve your learning style to learn whatever it is you want to learn!
Teaching from my personal studio also provides me with the advantage of being able to make professional quality play along tools in real time, which you will then have access to after your lesson, boosting your personal practice time in a way that suits you!

About Chase

Hello! I am an experienced guitar and bass player, with extensive recording and performance history. In the 15 years I've played guitar, I have been teaching for the last 6 and it is one of my favorite outlets of music. I absolutely love sharing my craft and finding what it takes to get a student

Chase's compassion for the arts is contagious. My son learned so much from Chase over the last year both in person and digitally when the virus shut everything down. His ability to transition in difficult times is amazing. If you are looking for passion, patience, and raw talent, he is a perfect match!
Kate
My son loves his weekly lessons with Chase! Chase has been fantastic and is always willing to listen to what my son wants to learn and incorporate it into his lessons. I can not recommend him enough!
Sheila
Chase is an amazing music teacher. He tailors lessons to each individual student to enhance their learning based on their skills. Over the course of 2 years he taught my son who had no experience in bass guitar, how to play and helped him perform in multiple rock band groups. Above all, he is patient, kind and truly enjoys teaching.

"My 8 year old daughter has been taking lessons with Jordan for about two months now. It has been fun to watch her progress and learn. She is very comfortable around Jordan -- he has a gentle spirit that makes her feel "safe" even if she makes a mistake. His encouragement and positive attitude have been immensely helpful in making her enjoy the guitar -- her first instrument ever. I would highly recommend him."

"Stan Has been my instructor for eight months. Bottom Line...terrific! He is a master of his craft and a really-really gifted teacher. I tried a number of teachers over the years and got discouraged. There are many alleged "Music Teachers " that cant read music! Stan is a Suma Cum Laude (that's #1 in the class) Honors graduate of Berkley School of Music in Boston! The real deal!!

I walk away from every lesson as excited as the first. I highly recommend Stan to my family and friends!"

"Kirk was my first guitar teacher, and helped me develop and cultivate my raw desire to play the instrument. His open, laid-back approach and flexible schedule made my learning experience enjoyable. The only complaint I would have, is that Kirk does not really enforce persistence; practicing a phrase or entire piece with me until I get it perfect, but that might just be a personal preference. Overall a patient, enthusiastic, down-to-earth guy who's generally fun to be with, and even more fun to learn guitar with."

"My son has been taking lessons from Remi for more than a year now. Remi is consistently challenging him to improve while encouraging him to love music. Remi is a wonderful instructor with both an eye and ear for detail. He can spot the way you are holding a guitar poorly and hear when you're not putting enough pressure on the strings. If you prefer using a pick, Remi has a better way to use that also, but he honestly makes a pick look more like a crutch that should be avoided when possible - this is good in my opinion. He is definitely blessed with the talents of music as well as teaching. One of our most favorite parts of each lesson is when Remi says, "Ok, now it's time to play whatever you want." - this is toward then end of the lesson, of course, just to have a little more fun after the formal part of the lesson is complete. Remi is also very patient and kind, and he loves to have fun with the music. Personally, I think a good "catch phrase" for him is as follows: "Your Remedy is Mr. Remi." I highly recommend him."

4 Tips For Maximizing the Lifespan of Your Acoustic Guitar

Whether your acoustic guitar is brand new or gently used, you can do a few simple things to keep it in great condition! Follow these tips from guitar teacher Samuel B. to get the most out of your acoustic guitar... Let's face it. Acoustic guitars can be an outright nuisance to keep in shape.
