I've been teaching piano for over 12 years to students of all ages. I studied classical piano under the tutorship for an classical pianist from Oberlin Conservatory and am currently on the piano faculty at Music and Arts in Franklin, TN. I'd love to help you!
You will get a excellent foundation for technique, style, sight-reading, harmony, and repertoire than will transfer to any other genre. Beginning students will start with a foundation for technique and apply these to basic repertoire, learn to read music, and play scales. Intermediate and beyond will build and improve on these skills to learn classical repertoire and more complex pieces.

Singing is the most wonderful thing in the world! First of all you don't need anything besides- you! And you can do it anywhere (I've gotten requests at work before!) Then it's also relaxing and fun and it makes everybody happy, not just you but also the people around you! It help to connect with your own emotions as well as stimulating empathy! Did you know that birds have 2 larynxes so they can keep us entertained all day long? Well I don't think I need to tell you any more about the pros of singing! You have to try it!
When I meet a new student, my goal is first to get to know you and find out your personal preferences in music. Then I usually start with warm-ups, exercises, body movement and scales to determine your level. I suggest pieces that you like and that I think would be beneficial to your progress. You get to choose from my wonderful collection of music! Oh did I mention that I have a beautiful Kohler & Campbell Upright at home? Why don't you give takelessons a call so ...

Singing is one of the most joyful activities you can do! Anyone can learn to sing.
I love teaching others to sing and perform, and I've been doing so for over 20 years - through private lessons, music theater workshops, music schools and choruses. I work with students at all levels and help them to build a solid technique that works for them.

He is a great teacher and I highly recommend him for guitar lesson."

It has been a pleasure to have Ms. Leeora K. teach my son how to play piano for two years. My son developed a positive relationship with Ms. K. He excelled in piano under her direction. Ms. K. is a responsible, kind, thoughtful, and professional piano instructor that we were blessed to have worked with. I appreciate that Ms. K. is passionate and caring about teaching my son and others how to play the piano.
I believe that Ms. K. would make an excellent candidate for any work position that she seeks because she is a friendly, helpful, and reliable person. I highly recommend Ms. K! Please feel free to contact me if you should need further information.
Thank you,
Maureen Flaherty"

Although the left hand is very important, mastering different rhythms and guitar strum patterns with your right hand adds a whole new dimension to your guitar playing. Understanding Guitar Strum Patterns Start by playing a simple chord progression. Ideally, you should be able to play through the chords without looking at the fingers on your left hand.
