My 9-year old daughter first encountered David when he was giving piano lessons to her friends at their house, and she immediately liked him and asked if he could be her teacher too. He started with us last summer (7 months ago); he comes to our house weekly and she really enjoys the lessons. While he is a very serious teacher with extensive musical knowledge, he has sensed that what my daughter needs to stay focused is a fun and relaxed atmosphere, so the lesson doesn't feel like a chore. They joke around a lot, but in fact he has the ability to get her to try ever more difficult pieces, and he inspires her to practice a lot. He can be tough with her and really push her to improve, but it works because they have such a good rapport. We are very pleased with her progress and very happy to continue working with David. He is a real find."
