Jenny is an Ohio based flutist with over 20 years’ experience teaching flute and piccolo. She has 10 years’ experience at the collegiate level. She enjoys teaching at all levels, from beginner through advanced, and has taught a wide range of ages from 8 to 70. From introducing students to the flute and teaching them their first songs as a beginner, to preparing them for auditions, recitals, honor bands, and much more as an advanced player, I love helping students enjoy the process of learning an instrument and being able to see them grow and achieve their goals. I love that each student brings unique strengths to each lesson and I tailor the lesson to the student’s needs and learning styles.
About Jenny
I have over 20 years’ experience teaching flute and piccolo and currently teach at two local colleges. I enjoy teaching at all levels, from beginner through advanced. At the Beginner level, I get to introduce students to the instrument. This is one of my favorite parts because every new piece

Learning a musical instrument should be fun, exciting, and most importantly pain-free.
About Chaul
I have been playing the violin for over 24 years. I like to teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced students regardless of their age. I would prefer beginners to take at least one year of piano lessons prior to learning how to the play the violin. This way students can transfer basic music know

I have taught guitar since 2012 and have been playing since 2000. I am happy to take students at the beginner and intermediate levels. I believe strongly in integrating music theory and ultimately moving students toward musical self-suffiency, rather than focusing exclusively on learning particular pieces.

Hi, there! My name is Ben and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons since 2012 and have taught students of all ages from 3 to adult. I have experience not just with teaching but also with writing, recording, and performing music in successful bands and on multiple instruments

Thanks Ben!
He is patient, kind, and highly knowledgeable. I clearly see the upward trajectory in my kids' musical capabilities. One of my kids can be difficult to deal with, especially when he is tired, but Ben would mold his approach to the lesson on the spot to keep my kid engaged (e.g., instead of continuing the lesson on the actual piano, he'd switch to a fun music-oriented game).

I have a B.A. in music composition and am an active composer and arranger for multiple genres of music. I compose music in styles ranging from classical, popular, sacred, video game, and more. I can show you the ropes of songwriting and composition and how to get started making your own music almost immediately. As learning aides, you will also learn some music technology, piano, and of course, a healthy dose of music theory.

Both of my kids showed some interest in guitar and we began lessons with Jordan a few months ago. I could not be happier. I have also joined in and we quickly learned how to play songs. His lessons are great and it is amazing how he keeps my 8 and 10 year old so focused. I have been learning too. I would give more stars if I could. Jordan is a very talented musician, a great person and an excellent educator. I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to seriously learn guitar."

A knowledge of music theory is absolutely indispensable to musicians. For beginners, it can seem intimidating, but experienced musicians will attest that theory is well worth the effort needed to master it. While you can certainly acquire proficiency on an instrument without a knowledge of theory, you’ll miss out on the depth of understanding that it provides. Music theory is also extremely useful for musicians. Think of music theory as your tool box. It enables you to analyze, tra …
