Bachelor's of Music in Music Performance (Violin) from Youngstown State University

All ages are welcome! Viola is one of my secondary instruments and I would love to pass on my passion for music to my students. Students can expect to learn how to play the viola with proper technique in a way that is unique to each student. Students use the Suzuki books, Barbara Barber scale method, etudes and student requests in their lessons. Brynn’s students will also learn basic music theory, which includes reading notes, rhythms and key signature recognition for all major and minor keys. Students can also expect to improve their overall musicianship skills while earning audition skills and gaining overall confidence. I cannot wait to work with you.
About Brynn
Brynn is an experienced violinist with a Bachelor's of Music in Violin Performance from Youngstown State University. She has studied under the guidance of Professor Joseph Kromholz. She has been playing the violin for 13 years. She is classically trained but has experience performing other genres.

If you are a beginner, you can expect to first master technique of the instrument. Afterwards, you will learn how to master a beautiful tone and sound.
As an intermediate, you will learn how to approach things in a different way than normal. You will learn not only how to play something "correctly" but how to play musically, artistically and beautifully.
As an advanced student, you can expect to be challenged to think critically about technique, sound, phrasing, etc.

I love teaching people how to play songs they enjoy! I'm not too focused on music theory, but am more interested on giving you the tools to play your favorite songs! Playing guitar doesn't have to be difficult or boring. Whether you want to play the Beatles on an acoustic guitar, learn your favorite Metallica riffs or even learn the basics to play at church...I'm your teacher!

He has a unique approach to learning improvisation which is as appropriate for veteran players as it is for complete beginners, and he has been a tremendous help for me in terms of technique and improving my sound.
In an era where a lot of great players can't teach, where so many teachers take a dogmatic, cookie-cutter approach, Rick Rossi's student-centered style stands out. He is serious about your learning, he doesn't try to sugarcoat or shortcut anything and gives more if you're willing to, like giving you honest progress feedback on recordings you send him, and working on particular solos and stylistic issues (bop, blues, rock, smooth jazz, pop, etc) that are individually useful and relevant to your level and goals. I'm really grateful to have found a teacher like Rick Rossi in LA."
