About Rachel
Hi, there!
My name is Rachel and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching crochet lessons since 2013 and have loved helping my students learn how to crochet, advance their skills and create patterns of their own. I'm currently in school for Communications and Studio at Oglethorpe University and will graduate in 2017.

I'm an outgoing and patient person and my teaching style is one on one, slow spaced and tailored to my students needs. If my students are advancing quickly through each lesson then I will adjust accordingly. If they need more time learning then I will take my time with them until they feel ready to move forward.

I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

Rachel knows her craft very well. She makes a lot of her own patterns and crochets everything from headbands, to bags, to costumes. She's a very good teacher; patient, a good communicator, and she's willing to work with you until you understand the technique you're learning.

This includes my time instructing a competitive and successful high school chess team as well as serving as a personal tutor for different people in their homes. Of the hours I have formally tutored, I have amassed a 5 star rating on a comparable website.

About Laura
Hi! My name is Laura and I have been teaching professionally, in one capacity or another since I graduated from college in 1998. I currently design knit and crochet patterns for Coats & Clark (the largest craft manufacturer in the world). My mother taught me to knit and crochet at such a young age that I don’t remember a time when I haven’t known how to knit or crochet. In 2010 I began teaching needle-crafts, as well as selling the same items I’d been making and giving away to loved ones for many years. I also began creating and selling hand spun yarn. I have been developing and designing patterns since 2013. Once you start knitting, the possibilities are endless!

Adler is patient with me while also trying to push me forwards in the same moment, great to talk to about the lessons or even just normal things, sometimes it starts to seem more like I'm just getting some pointers from a friend instead of learning from a teacher. He knows what he is doing and knows that I can only do so much at times, he guides me through the lesson instead of just teaching it like most teachers I know of. Starting off he was able answer my repetitive questions about something that he might do without thinking, and will describe what he wants of me while teaching, not always serious or just going off on his own, expecting others to know exactly what he is doing. A great teacher and more like a friend than teacher at times.

Adler is a teacher who I'm fortunate enough to also call a friend. He is very passionate about art, is a very positive influence, and fun to be around. He doesnt sugar coat his critiques on your work but isnt harsh about it either. He gives many good pointers and advice, knowing how guide students to better foundations and improvement.

Crochet is my passion and God-given talent and I love to share what I learn with others! I've been crocheting off and on since age 10 via books, dedicated teachers, YouTube, crochet magazines, and online communities including Ravelry, Pinterest, crochet blogs, yarn company websites to name a few. I love trolling for online patterns, can interpret the unique crochet "language" and have literally binders full of crochet patterns I've saved over the years.

Friends and family know what to to expect from me as gifts--handmade crochet items. They have encouraged me to sell my creations...

I've been teaching for almost 10 years, offering private and group lessons up to five students. Also, I am a current member of the Crochet Guild of America (CGOA) since 2009.

Lessons are designed for folks who have never picked up a crochet hook or w
ho want to refresh their skills or learn new ones. Lessons are available online, at your home or my studio.

About Corean
I've been performing for about six years. I began as an aerialist but really found my joy in ground based performances, particularly hula hooping.

I choreograph my own work and am frequently hired to perform my pieces. I've worked for a few circus theatre productions & cabaret shows. Mostly I perform in the event entertainment industry for events like Media Launches for Six Flags Rollercoasters, NCAA Basketball half time shows, product launches for companies including M.A.C cosmetics and more. When I'm not performing it is not unusual to find me hoop dancing or juggling at a park for fun.

My teaching approach is fun and I will help you discover new ways for self expression. There is equal emphasis on skill development as well as developing strength, flexibility, and body awareness. I can help gymnasts develop hoop skills to inc
orporate with their gymnastics, I can help new flow artists refine their flow in time for the next music festival, I can teach hoop fitness for those approaching hooping with fitness goals in mind, or I can help aspiring performers refine their technique.
