Benk is very flexible, affordable and our son took to him very well. He even records what he has learned each week so we both can keep track of his progress. He is much more affordable then other drum teachers or studio's in the area, and even will come to your home.
If you are looking for a GREAT Teacher you should take some time to talk to Benk.

Beginning to Intermediate Drum lessons and beats that are actually used in today's and yesteryear's "hit songs".
It's no secret, drums is the backbone or "foundation" to any hit song.
I break down drumming to its most basic rudiments so that you will grow by leaps and bounds instead of just crawling along.
You have to walk before you can run so getting it right initially is very important to moving forward and getting you playing your favorite songs quickly and accurately..

I've been teaching drums to students of all ages since 2004. I'm available for lessons at my home studio or your house, and I'm great with kids, however I ask that your child is at least 6 years old. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to play basic drum beats and play along to some of your favorite songs. At the same time, we'll work on good drumming technique, note reading, developing good timing, and more. I'm a very patient and positive teacher and would be excited to hear from you! I pride myself on having long-term student retention. :)

He was very good at connecting with my son and easily had him enjoying the lesson.
You can tell Jimmie has a passion for teaching children and his face lit up talking about it. He heaped praise on my sons accomplishments and my son said he truly enjoyed the lesson and can`t wait for next week.
I`d highly recommend him to teach your child. I don`t think you`d find someone else with the same passion for children. So glad I made the decision to hire Jimmie and look forward to many years of him being involved in developing my son into a awesome musician.
Thank you Jimmie!

My 7 year old son has been taking lessons with Tom for the past four months and will continue for the foreseeable future. I am particularly pleased with Tom's patience, enthusiasm and adaptability with my son. I am also amazed at my son's progress--he can really play the drums!!!!.
Tom is an accomplished drummer with his own unique style and one of the cool things about him is that he is interested in getting to know my son to encourage and develop his own unique musical taste and style.
Tom frequently requests that my son provide favorite songs, and then teaches those beats and techniques. This is a unique quality which makes learning music instantly rewarding for a young person and ultimately provides a foundation that my son can have fun with, as he learns the more technical and mundane aspects of music that every serious student must work through.
Whether you or your child would like to be the next Buddy Rich, Lars Ulrich, Neil Pert or Questlove Jenkins, Tom will work with you or your child to develop both a familiar and meaningful learning program that builds knowledge, confidence and enthusiasm for the drums.
I have the highest regard for Tom and highly recommend him as a drum teacher."

I first discovered Anthony’s drumming hearing him at the Newport Jazz Festival playing the drums with Grammy Winner and virtuoso pianist Danilo Pérez. Never have I been more blown away by hearing a musician live. He was in his early 20s at the time and had all the signs of someone with a special gift who would go very far in the music world. The drumming spoke for itself.
Then, later that day, he taught a drum clinic for hundreds of under-privileged high school students and adults that had the room buzzing. I saw the profound difference in the students’ playing immediately. And it became clear why people all over the world contract Anthony for his teaching.
We kept in touch over the years and I took lessons whenever I was in Los Angles at his studio. After the first lesson, I found I had already learned more facility at the drum set than from years of slogging through method books and teachers who didn’t know what they were doing.
Since the beginning of this year, I have switched over to weekly online lessons, which I found to be just as effective as in-person studies. We are now studying advanced concepts and exercises for developing technical facility and versatility as a drummer in the 21st century (and I played my first gig on the drums!). I feel truly fortunate to be able to take lessons with one of the world’s greatest drummers. No matter what genre you play, and whether you’re a complete beginner or advanced drummer, I know you’ll benefit immensely from Anthony’s experience, world-class artistry, and personable approach."

Tracy has been an excellent fit for my young son. She is very patient and varies the lesson to hold a young child's attention. She gives lots of praise and encouragement. She seems to have appropriate expectations for a 5 1/2 yr old and is good about communicating with him on a level he can understand. These are concerns I had when looking for a drum teacher for a child who is so young."
