I'm usually a horrible mathematics student but this semester I was taking calculus which is daunting on its own even for students who have been taking mathematics. I've been teaching GRE preparation for 6 years and my students have increased the Quantitative and Analytic sections of their GRE scores over 30 points from their initial scores.
I create a personalized daily syllabus that caters to each student's individual strengths and weakness, and check in with my students daily to make sure that they are completing their homework assignments and have no questions.
My program is rigorous and demanding, but leads to significantly higher scores very quickly. After a few more months of working with Simeon, I got to the point where I was consistently scoring in the 33-34 Composite range and thus decided to take the official exam. The result: a 33 Composite (36 E 34 M 33 R 27 S (I more or less just ran out of steam toward the end))!
I couldn't recommend Simeon or his approach any more if I tried! Initially, I struggled with Math and Science more than anything else. However, Simeon was able to explain Math concepts in a way that were able to stick. And the Science strategies he equipped me with helped me fly through the section, improving my score dramatically (I went from making a 21 on Science to making a 34 -- I didn't do my best with Science on test day, but that one's on me).
As a perfect ACT scorer and Harvard grad, Simeon is able to explain literally every single ACT concept in a clear and concise way to help his students best understand the material. If you're looking to supercharge your ACT score, look no further than Simeon! Not to mention, he's one of the nicest guys I've ever met. "I️ was connected to Rod through a tutoring agency. I️ contacted the agency because I️ recently graduated college and wanted to get into grad school but ha
d not taken a math class since the 10th grade. The school I️ was applying to needed a minimum math score for the GRE, which I️ knew would be a enormous stretch for me. Additionally, I️ always had trouble with math and knew I️ would need a tutor to re-teach me everything I️ needed to know to get the score I️ wanted. Initially, the agency connected me to 3 different tutors who were all absolutely terrible! Sometimes they didn’t even know how to answer sample questions in the workbooks! Finally, I was connected to Rod. After our first meeting I️ knew he would be the one who would help me improve. After a month of intense work with him my GRE math scores actually improved a full 12 points! Beyond that, he literally taught me math in a way in which I️ actually understood it. Before I️ just thought I couldn’t learn, but now I’m confident that I️ actually retained everything and it even made sense! I’m so grateful to have met Rod because before him I️ truly felt hopeless. I️ would definitely recommend Rod to anyone who is looking to drastically improve their math skills.
