I am a New York State Certified Music Educator and Cellist. I have been teaching privately for over 10 years and currently run a Strings Orchestra program in Brooklyn for the New York City Department of Education. I love teaching and hope you consider joining my studio!

I am a passionate, energetic, humorous, patient cello instructor. I have been teaching since 2008. Within these years, I taught the private lesson, group lesson, music theory and studio class of all ages and all levels. One of my ten years old student got the highest score of the Asian-Pacific Region in Grade two cello exam of The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music only after one year learning from me. I have abundant experiences for helping students not only learning music and cello but also enjoying lots of fun from it. I also helped my students for preparing their solo recitals, summer festival auditions, competitions, and performing arts high school auditions. Hi, My name is Geoff and I' m here to teach you the Cello. I offer Technical studies, Solo pieces, NYSSMA, Scales and Arpeggios, Bow Technique, Symphony Repertoire, School Orchestra and other ensemble work and Reading skills. My students do great at NYSSMA, All County as well as LI String Festival. What I teach you, you' ll take with you for ever. Let' s get playing!

In my lessons, my primary focus is helping students learn cello at their own pace, and developing their love and appreciation for music! Cello can be challenging, but anyone can learn with the right guidance! I have a conservatory training, and years of experience teaching people of all ages how to play. Students will learn technique, music reading, scales and arpeggios, and basic music theory in a comfortable and encouraging environment!

Experienced Cello teacher available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of music knowledge. I specialize Suzuki Method and Traditional Method depending on the students needs. I push to evolve with each student and create a fun a positive environment in which to learn and I strive to help you meet your goals! I plan and offer yearly professional student shows and concerts to give each student a practical application to their studies.

I am an experienced strings teacher with 25 years of experience. I will work with beginning cello students of all ages and provide instruction on proper technique, position, reading music and playing the cello. I am patient and provide constructive feedback and work at your pace.
