About Farobag
Music Director of the Chicago Philharmonia Orchestra since 1985, Farobag has also served as Managing Director of the University of Chicago Performing Artists Series from 1989 through 2002 and principal conductor of its resident professional ensembles. A skilled interpreter of Baroque literature as well, Farobag continues in his capacity as Artistic Advisor to the Baroque Masterplayers, a virtuoso ensemble that concatenates period performance techniques with modern instruments thus creating a unique voice within the realm of 17th and 18th- century repertoire.

A double graduate of the Eastman School of Music and the University of Rochester, Farobag studied under Anastasia Jempelis, a pioneer of Suzuki violin pedagogy in the United States. In addition to the Suzuki curriculum, he is also associated with the Royal Conservatory Music Devel
opment Program that sets a national standard of musical achievement in various fields.

Befitting his penchant for encouraging artistic interest amongst younger members of his community, Farobag is also the principal conductor of the Zoroastrian Symphony Orchestra that offers a unique mixture of young and seasoned professionals sitting side-by-side in a strictly professional setting. Since the year 2000, the ZSO has staged highly successful performances at various venues in Houston, Chicago, and Toronto. A New Year's eve performance in Los Angeles is scheduled for 2014.

Having also taken graduate-level coursework in educational psychology, mathematics, and philosophy at the University of Chicago, Farobag offers tutelage in various areas of elementary and secondary education as well as in SAT, ACT and GRE test preparation.

Additionally, as a certified Reiki Master, therapeutic and/or educational sessions are also extended to those who may be inclined to alternative healing techniques.

*** Lesson Details ***
Sheer technique is necessary but insufficient to play an instrument well. Aural skills, that include the study of functional tonality and voice-leading are important factors that impart musicality. This is of great import if the prospective musician wants the audience to truly enjoy his or her performance !

Whether it be the 3 Rs or preparation in the performing arts, a remarkable instructor must go well beyond the subject matter at hand and help imbue the student with a spirit of wonder that, in due time, will foster enthusiasm necessary for excellence.

A child emulates and learns to communicate in his or her mother-tongue through a supporting and nurturing environment. Likewise, a student needs to be sufficiently motivated to embrace learning in a familiar supportive manner.

*** Studio Equipment ***
The In-Studio lesson take place in the living room. Driveway parking. No pets.

*** Travel Equipment ***
None; I do expect a reasonably good piano / keyboard at a student's home.

*** Specialties ***
Traditional and Suzuki-based education. Performance and musicality training is open to all instrumentalists.

*** CD's***

I've been playing a few instruments for 23 years, and finally decided to get into violin. Farobag made me realize that I know next to nothing about the violin, and there is so much to learn. I played only a few notes in my first lesson, but his instruction was worth every penny. I am very excited for the next lesson and look forward to learning everything I can from Farobag. Highly recommended.

Mr. Cooper is an experienced teacher. He teaches piano, violin & vocal from basic to advance level. My son has been taking piano classes from him for the past 3+ years. He loves to go to Mr. Cooper's classes. The foremost quality in Mr. Cooper is that he seeks perfection and tries to imbibe the same in his students. He encourages all his students to perform their best and is extremely patient in dealing with his students. Mr. Cooper lets me sit in my son's lessons and I got my 101 on classical music with these sessons. I can appreciate what my son plays and also now able to appreciate classical music in general.
Mr. Cooper encourages all his students to participate in IMA annual contests and puts a lot of effort in preparing his students for the same.

Mr. Copper is one of the best teachers that I know. I am a slow learner and he would teach me things over and over again until I understand. Overall, he is a great teacher and I would recommend him if you need help on math.

I have experience in tutoring college algebra and college statistics. My method is to get the student to understand the concept, then understand the formula.

About D. Michael
I graduated with a 3.8 GPA from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a degree in Chemistry. I was one of ten nominees for valedictorian of my graduating college class of 4,000 and inducted into the phi beta kappa college honor society.

I was recently hired by NYC as a substitute teacher and I love the job. I have been asked by both NYC and San Antonio to become a full time teacher but declined since I prefer freelance work. I worked in the corporate world until quitting in 2000 to pursue careers as an entrepreneur and tutor. I moved from San Antonio to NYC in pursuit of more technology driven business opportunities. One side benefit of NYC is that one of my favorite hobbies is acting.

I am available for online tutoring. For home tutoring please message me for availability.

It is also critically important for
students to learn the tactics of test taking in the process of gaining every advantage. In addition, learning the theory is much more important the memorizing the formula.

I have more than 25 years of teaching and tutoring experience. Last teaching position as Chairman of Statistical Engineering at University of Playa Ancha, Valparaiso, Chile. Living in Florida since 2016.
I have a B. S. in Economics and a M. Sc. in Statistics. I am also working in my Ph. D. thesis and I hope to finish on 2019. Actually, I am working as tutor at Palm Beach State College.
What is one of the most important things of teaching or tutoring? Making people understand "complicated things" with simple words. Despite math has many abstract concepts, it is nice to find a practical and easy way to make it easier.
What make me different? I do not only have theoretical experience, also applied and practical, for more than 20 years.
It does not matter in which level you are, I am sure that I can help you to succeed.
I have experience teaching basic math, algebra (basic, intermediate and linear), geometry, trigonometry, pre calculus, calculus (differential and integral), statistics ...

About Manuel
I began as tutor in 1990 (Guayaquil, Ecuador), when I was at high school. It was my real first job. Then, when I was at college, I taught at a public high school for 5 years. After that, I was instructor in the same university I studied and then moved to Chile to get a M. Sc. degree in Statistics and continued working as instructor of many topics (physics, pre calculus, statistics, project management, probabilities, inference, sampling, and more related). My last job was Chairman of Statistical Engineering (+2y) and, obviously, instructor of related topics.
I moved to USA after I got married, and I am starting a new life here. I am sure I can help you understanding the wonderful world of mathematical sciences. Feel free to contact me for any additional information.

I have a very visual perspective on mathematics, and I value the concepts behind the math so that you truly understand the content, rather than just completing it. This helps not only with the specific math level, but it helps in the long term so that you can apply this knowledge to different problems in the future.

About Amber
I am an experienced tutor in mathematics, and a current student at the University of Florida. I've been tutoring in a variety of maths for about 5 years. I have experience tutoring in any math course from pre-algebra (math I) to college level calculus 3. This includes all of the following:

Pre-Algebra (Math I)
Geometry
Algebra I
Algebra 2
Pre-Calculus
Calculus 1 (AP Calculus AB)
Calculus 2 (AP Calculus BC)
Calculus 3
AP Statistics
IB HL Mathematics

I have a very visual way of thinking, and I emphasize truly understanding the content rather than just memorizing methods. I always do my best to ensure that the student has a full understanding of the material so that it can be easily applied anywhere it is needed in any math course. Math is about expanding your way of thinking through logic. There is no problem in math that does not have
a logically deduced answer, so if at any point in math you find yourself thinking that some things in math must be memorized because they simply do not make sense, I hope that I will be able to show you that that is not the case. What I'm best at is teaching the reasoning and the logic behind concepts in mathematics, and by showing the concept, it should provide you a better understanding so you can truly understand what it is you are doing and why.

Amber is smart, determined, and dependable. She will work with you until everything makes sense, which is saying something because the class she was helping me with was physics, and you know how that stuff isn't straightforward. Plus, Amber actually likes math, which is a strange and beautiful fact in it's own right. She just graphs stuff for fun.

Amber helped me while I was struggling with synthetic division in my Algebra two class, she was such a help and joy to work with that I actually understood everything stemming from that lesson. Since being tutored from Amber initially, I have come back in classes such as Statistics and College Algebra, and definitely recommended to my friends! She has such a clear and concise way of explaining things that it makes the material a breeze to get through.

I have experience teaching math to students (K-8). I focus on understanding the concepts first in order for students to improve test scores and apply what they learned.

About Kristen
I graduated from UCLA with a degree in Psychology. I also minored in Disability Studies and Gerontology. I have been tutoring students for over 3 years and have experience working with all age groups.

I enjoy teaching students of all levels and backgrounds. As a tutor, I have taught lessons in multiple subjects, but my personal interest is in Reading and Writing. I help my students improve their skills weekly while encouraging them to craft their own voice and writing style. (This is very important for high school students working on their college admission essays!) I strive to really get to know my students and create personalized lesson plans according to their needs. My ultimate goal with every student I teach, is not only to catch him/her up in schoolwork, but also get him/her ahead.

I love having a good laugh while teaching, because what kid doesn’t like to have fun? I am a member of BETA BETA BETA which is the National Biological Honors Society so I’m pretty good at science. a young girl I loved spending long hours at the library and have a couple school spelling bee wins under my belt. I look forward to not only teaching you but learning from you. Until next time!

Math is a wonderful subject.
I think it's fun! And like to make it fun.
I like to work with children on Math projects in a way that they can always check their answers to see for themselves that they indeed have cone to the correct answer.

Math is magical, captivating and FUN and should be taught in just that fantastic of a fashion.

I specialize in working with ages 3 to 11 years of age. I'm available to teach Math, or Pre-Math to the younger ages to give them a good prestart and foundation.

About Sunshine
Hello!πŸ˜„β™₯️😁 I'm Sunshine! I'm a singer songwriter musician, and teach music locally, and now online. My husband & I own a music business, we sell guitars, keyboards, drums, mandolin, ukulele's, etc.. (lots of different instruments).
We both give music lessons. I teach piano, guitar, and voice lessons. He teaches guitar, drums, mandolin, lap steel guitar, and can do "bass and ukulele" lessons if desired as well. So between us, we cover several instruments.

We've had seasonal "Kids School of Music Bands" offered at our facility over the last several years, which is an addition great option if you're here locally where we're located.

I can teach you songwriting skills as well if you have an interest in that direction. I started writing songs when I was around 11 years old. It's a passion of mine. If you have a melody for a song, but
have a problem finding or creating your lyrics, we can work on that, or vice versa, if you have some great lyrics but you need to find your melody and/or need to create your song flow "for" those lyrics, we can also work on those skills.

I also offer pre-math and math skills for ages 3 to 11 years, also, reading, writing, and FUN phonics skills.

Whatever your focus is on, just contact me and let me know.

So ... SMILE guys! 😁😁😁 Lets make things FUN and enjoyably Colorful in whichever direction your going!
