After the first lesson you will be making music, playing songs and you will be on your way to achieving your musical goals with the acoustic guitar. Acoustic guitar playing requires a knowledge of chords, melody, picking technique as well as knowing songs all of which we will begin to learn in your first lesson.

With 10+ years as a music teacher and professional musician I have picked up many approaches that will insure you are making the most progress and truly finding your musical voice.

I am an experienced professional guitarist with more than a decade of working experience both as a performer and educator. I have a degree in Jazz Studies from University of Michigan, and have been working on the music scene in New York since 2012.

I provide customized lessons, with an emphasis on fundamental musicianship and instrumental skills, as well as composition. I teach out of my Greenpoint studio, or I am willing to travel to students for an additional fee.

I've been playing Acoustic Guitar since I was in junior high school. My specialty is teaching Acoustic Folk, Country, Rock, Gospel, and other styles of music. I also teach great styles of finger picking which I learned from a great guitarist in Berkeley California. These styles can e used for all styles of music. My guitar students range from 7 years of age on up and I teach beginners to advanced intermediate lessons.
