Electric bass has been an obsession of mine for many years. It was my first instrument, and it is certainly one of my favorites.
It is my philosophy that learning and playing an instrument should be an enjoyable experience, and it is my goal to spark a love of music in all my students. I will have you playing in no time, and will also teach you the theory behind music that is so essential for any musician to understand.

I've been playing and performing on Bass for nearly twenty years. I play a multitude of different styles and genres, including rock, country, r&b, jazz, blues, metal, funk, motown, and many others.
My teaching approach is relatively simple; I work to empower you to approach and play your own instrument through rhythm, moderate music theory, as well as fretboard theory and picking/plucking styles. I also like to do practical application studies, i.e., using songs you're interested in learning to apply new techniques.
Most importantly, we progress at your pace and yours alone. If you're a beginner and want to learn to play like Victor Wooten, or just want to strengthen your chart reading abilities, those are a few of the things I am available to teach.

Hi, I'm Tyler! Born and raised in Roswell, New Mexico, I am the son of a band director. That being said, I have literally been involved in music since I was an infant! I played trombone, bass trombone, and bass guitar all the way through high school, and went to New Mexico State University where I

The reason I always believed in private lessons is because no matter how few or how many you take, the learning process gets expedited immensely.
I definitely would recommend this teacher for learning a brass instrument.

Very contributive, patient, and friendly. David brought me a lot of ideas and consideration in detail. Nice guy!!"

Tommy taught me bass for about a year and in that time I learned more about my bass and amps, how to play better and read and interpret music better, how to play better with others and even music theory (especially as it relates to bass playing).
And I thought I was just going to get bass lessons!!"
