I am a music teacher at North Little Rock School District. Beginner courses will include: music fundamentals, Ukulele strumming patterns, learning at least 5 chords, pentatonic scale, and major scale. You will be able to pluck or strum folk, classical, and pop songs as courses progress. Ukuleles are provided during lesson or you can purchase your own so that you can practice at home.

About Micah

I have been teaching music and tutoring for a few years now! I enjoy music so much! I received my degree from the University of Arkansas Little Rock. I am also a member of the worship band at my church. One thing that I enjoy the most, as a teacher, is seeing growth and seeing students get

The ukulele is the #1 instrument I recommend for beginners, though I also use it on professional recordings. It's a versatile instrument that provided an excellent gateway to connecting with other musicians.

When I teach ukuklele, I of course focus on the fundamentals of technique that make it easy to play well, but I also work from the goals of the students and help them develop a plan to connect to to other people or an experience.

About Jonathan

I studied music therapy and music theory at Temple University from '06-'10. Learned a lot. Then again, I learned even more teaching at a school for kids with learning disabilities and working as a traveling street performer. Once you see the world and work with some unexpected challenges, you learn

Jonathan cares deeply about his craft. He has taught me how to be a better guitarist. I also have observed him teach many students, including some with disabilities. He tailors his teaching to the student he is working with, and he makes music fun!

What's not to love about the ukulele? Sweet and portable, the uke has made a huge comeback. I'd love to get you started. We'll learn chords and strumming techniques and apply those to the songs you're keen to play. We will also learn to read music and music theory.

We've only had one lesson with Allison so far. Working with a 4 year old is a special kind of challenge and we had an excellent first experience! I think her judgment of my daughter's skill level was very accurate and her first song choice was spot-on. My daughter needed something that would exercise her skills but be easy enough to restore her confidence and bring the fun back to her lessons. We look forward to continuing lessons with her.

Daniel is so patient and easy to work with ~ he makes learning the cello seem so easy and natural and has so many practical ways of explaining an instrument I have no prior knowledge of. I had never played a stringed instrument but always loved the cello, so I was a bit nervous to begin. His gentle nature and patience have made me even more enthusiastic to learn. I have been loving each lesson and look forward to the next each time I leave! I'm looking forward to next week already! :-)
