For over 30 years, I've had the privilege to have worked with thousands of performers who study with me from all over the world. I teach in-studio at my two locations in Houston and in The Woodlands, Texas. I also work with students who come to me from all over the globe via online over-the-web Skype lessons.
Originally from Detroit, I enjoyed being a "Jack of all styles" singer/musician for over 15 years. I was a professional musician performing Classical, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Gospel, Musical Theater, Commercial and Studio work, along with being very involved in Contemporary Christian music. While I very much loved to perform, I found myself drawn much more to the joy of teaching. Vocal instruction and improvisational piano teaching eventually became my passion, and so I've poured my time and energies into teaching singers and players to
I have been singing in Choirs and Bands for a number of years and learned more about my voice and singing properly in a 45 minute session with Eric than I have in all my years of performing. I now understand why I have been struggling to sing in my upper register and Eric has put together a personalized program to help me develop my voice and gain back my vocal range. Eric has a great sense of humor and made the session very enjoyable as well as informative. I look forward to my next session and would highly recommend Eric as an instructor.
Everyone has a beautiful voice. Let me teach you how to make it heard.
My passion for music is the most pervasive quality of my personality. Consequently, passing that passion on to others is what brings me the most joy in life. My goal is to spread the love and appreciation for this unique and transcending art form through guidance, performance, and instruction. As my student, you will receive exactly what you (or your child) want out of the lessons-you are the one controlling what you want from them (be it any style of music, professional track or just for fun, music theory, and performance) and I am there to provide it. Music is nothing short of extremely fun and completely liberating.
I have always loved to sing and play guitar and piano starting from a young age, and I never gave up my determination and passion for perfor
ming. In middle and high school I did many musicals (Jekyll and Hyde, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Oliver, Miss Saigon, Little Shop of Horrors, Footloose, Kiss Me Kate, and Cats) and sang in the choir (including the California All State Honor Choir and Jazz Choir). I played guitar in the school Jazz Band and participated in many jam sessions out of school. I also participated in many piano competitions, including ones for my own composition (I received an honorable mention for one of my own piano works). In college, I received a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Redlands. I have recently completed my Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Redlands. I have performed many opera roles including Suor Angelica in Puccini's Suor Angelica, Violetta in Verdi's La Traviata, the Queen of the Night in Mozart's The Magic Flute, and Fiordiligi in Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte, and Najade in Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos. I was also in the University Chapel Singers Choir, Madrigals Choir, and Treblemakers a Capella Jazz choir. I currently reside in Germany where I am teaching online lessons to students all over the world, teaching English, and pursuing an opera career. So far I have sung the role of the Queen of the Night in Weimar, Germany and have done a few concerts singing Christine from the Phantom of the Opera.
"Hard work beats talent if talent does not work hard." This is my favorite quote. I truly believe that hard work will take you anywhere, no matter where your starting point is. With hard work and determination, you can be anything you want to be. With motivation, anyone can be a beautiful singer, guitarist, and pianist. If I did not believe this with all my heart, I would not be where I am today. To me, every student has great potential. It is my job and joy to bring out that potential and cultivate it into talent, love, and passion.
My lessons are fun and rewarding. I do not believe that a critical environment is one that is healthy or pleasant to learn in. Therefore, I am a very encouraging, patient, and supportive teacher, and I will praise you for your improvements, as well as help you correct your difficulties. I like to think of my lessons as a team effort, with more emphasis on working together and having fun. With that being said, I believe that you get what you put in out of our lessons. The more you practice and the more you show me determination and motivation, the more we can have fun, improve technique, and really make music in our lessons.
I customize each lesson to my student, so you tell me what you want to sing or play and what your goals as a musician are, and I will instruct you (or your child) in the exact way that fits your goals and interests. After a couple months with me, you will have a new found passion for music, knowledge of proper technique, reading and diction, and the skills to perform and communicate pieces of music. Most importantly, you will have the time of your life!
My voice lessons consist of vocal warm-ups where you learn proper technique and posture, breathing exercises to expand your diaphragm and support when you sing, and Repertoire work where you apply the technique you learned, practice performance skills, and learn diction of English, Italian, German, Hebrew, or French.
My guitar and piano lessons start with learning how to read music (if you do not know already) and being familiar with the keys or frets and the notes on the staff. Then we work on pieces of music, paying attention to the key factors of musicianship including rhythm, interpretation, dynamics, composition, musicality, and performance practice. My music theory lessons are based on whatever the student wants to learn or needs instruction on. I teach anywhere from basic music notation to advanced harmonic and formal analysis.
My speaking and lessons are similar to my voice lessons, minus the singing aspect-the same technique we use for singing is the technique we must use for speaking if we want to be heard, be healthy, and not get tired or worse - lose our voice. We work on breathing and projection techniques and then practice on a reading sample or presentation.
My acting lessons consist of different improv-acting games, projection techniques, and monologue and role studies. You will learn how to communicate a message to the audience clearly and effectively while having a wonderful time!
My language and tutoring classes are focused on fluency-getting comfortable speaking in the target language. We go through chapters of a lesson plan I created myself-learning vocabulary and grammar by learning the functions of them and completing speaking goals. After just a few lessons, you will find that you will be able to converse in your target language. Your individual pace is the most important to me, so we learn at the speed that you are the most comfortable with.
All I expect from you is to bring a pencil, a good attitude, and the willingness to practice and work hard in our lessons, and I will supply the rest! Looking forward to hearing your beautiful music or voice!

Jan is a sweetheart and very knowledgeable, with real experience in the industry. I really enjoy my sessions with her and have seen measurable improvement in my ability to get through a song. She was flexible with what I wanted and didn't try to force me through a predetermined process.

I have taught acting to small children, teens, and adults in community, private, and collegiate settings. I taught acting at the legendary Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York City. My love of the arts has enabled me to study and perform in various cities throughout the US; including Los Angeles, where I studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, to Europe, Mexico, South America; then back to New York City, where I earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting from the prestigious Actors Studio Drama School.
I currently work professionally as an actor, singer, and TV and radio host. I've been fortunate enough to work in film, TV, theater, musical theater, hosting, commercials, improv, and voice-overs. I am also a vocally trained mezzo-soprano. Because I am still a working artist, I can not only teach you craft
, but can assist you in making the right choices to navigate your own way in the business. I offer private coaching to actors in theater and film, and singers in the US and abroad. I would love to share my knowledge and experience with you.

His televised PBS concert “Live from the Venetian in Las Vegas”, has aired in over 350 PBS stations across North America. Gabriel has studied voice at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and began his career as an Apprentice Actor at the prestigious Shaw Festival
of Canada. He made his Broadway debut in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Bombay Dreams, under the direction of 2-time Academy Award winning composer A.R. Rahman. He also starred as Lancelot in the Broadway National Tour of Camelot and Magaldi in the Broadway National tour of Evita (Harold Prince Revival). Gabriel had the distinguished honor of originating the role of the elf archer Legolas in the $30 Million Dollar, world premier production of The Lord of The Rings, directed by Tony award winning director Matthew Warchus.
Gabriel is an amazing coach. He takes the time to explain in detail how to discover a character in an easy to understand way. As a beginner he has really helped me learn to break down a script and understand what is going on. He teaches you how to set yourself apart from the crowd in an audition. I highly recommend Gabriel to anyone seeking to better their craft or begin acting!

Gabriel developed a proprietary method of accent reduction that makes it easy to focus on the areas that need change or improvement. The method, combined with Gabriel’s passion for teaching, make the classes dynamic and productive. He quickly identified my problematic areas, and patiently worked with me on changes I needed to make to the way I pronounce certain sounds.
He also provides ample resources and direction for exercises in between the lessons to make the progress faster. I highly recommend Gabriel for accent reduction classes.

Had an amazing first lesson with Gabriel. He really knows his stuff and not only demonstrates but teaches the techniques that he uses. Lots of material and I'm looking forward to the next lesson!
I am super excited to be building a private and small group lesson platform at our home studio and to meet your personal acting needs! I recently stepped down from 2 years of full time drama and art at Lumos Arts Academy- a private school I played a role in pioneering- to focus on building up passionate individuals who are serious about thriving in the performing world.
I also created a Theater and Film Program at Experience Arts School where students ages 5- adult could take classes (group or private) or join an acting company for regular performance gigs. I directed multiple musicals during this time. My company competed with the AZ Thespians and took home many superior scores.
Personally, I have been acting for 25 years in the Mid and Southwest, studied theater at UWOshkosh, Film at Scottsdale CC, improv with iO i
n Chicago, and Meisner with The renowned Kevin Phipps. I was part of a musical repertory company based in Utah for 8 months, traveled around the Phoenix valley performing in 8 different dinner theaters for 8 years, and have produced and directed multiple professional music videos for Soundwaves Productions in Gilbert.
I believe that each actor learns differently, and the best way is to become well-rounded in your training to discover what works best for you. I have become very well trained in identifying strengths and weaknesses in actors, and will work with you on the best technique to suit your needs and style.
Classes I have created curriculum for/taught include: Monologues Auditioning for theater and film Script Analysis Beginning- Advanced Improv Beginning- Advanced Scene Acting Uta Hagen's Repertoire Acting for Film Voice and Diction Music Video Creation Musical Theater Acting/Dance
My daughter raves about her lessons with Rebecca. She gets in the car and is always so excited to tell me what she did or learned, and when she practices I can see things click and improve. It’s so refreshing to see her passion and satisfaction in the learning process. Clearly she has a gift for teaching and inspiring teenagers, because I never see Anna work this hard. Thank you for all you do!

Rebecca is kind, instructive, and helpful. She Has helped me improve my acting as well as set up a demo reel that I'm thrilled with.
August 27, 2019
I enjoy my class every time I go. Rebecca is a fun teacher, even though she keeps me focused. We are always thinking outside the box on how to make class better for me personally. I like that she is flexible and cares about how I learn. One of the things I appreciate most is that she points out what I do well and what I should improve in, whereas some of my teachers in the past only focus on one or the other.
I use humor, images, and understanding in order to help students of all backgrounds reclaim their voices. I listen without judgment, and respect a student’s experience. I’ll help you meet your goals with a clear plan we can both agree will be attainable. I look forward to working with you!
"Sara was amazing, absolutely love her for my daughter aged 10. She is kind, nurturing, focus and great with children. I'm considering using her for myself
"My daughter has learned so much from Toya since she started getting lessons from her. She is pretty flexible if you have to reschedule she's willing to wo
rk with you and your schedule as well as her own. My daughter has nothing but good to say about Toya and the fun she has with her all while learning too. She really enjoys her acting lessons and loves Toya."
"Stella is wonderful! She’s full of wisdom and passion- it’s so much fun working with her. I feel supported, encouraged and pushed as an actor, and, thanks
to her guidance, I always feel like I’ve discovered something new after our sessions."
"Such a helpful instructor! He really takes the time to make sure you're getting it and is always welcome to stop him whenever you don't get it. I would
definitely take classes from him again! Oh! His choreographies are always so fun!"
"Kim jumped right in and learned everything she could about what I was working on so that she could help me perform at my very best. I can not say enough
good things about all that she thought me. I recommend her to everyone I know. Her experience is second to none and her approach is genuine. Thank you for all the help Kim."
"Only a couple lessons thus far and fabulous!! Looking forward to witnessing his gift and potential to help my duaghter shine."
"Oh lawrdy... Where do I begin. Okay, SO I have been a professional performing artist for 20+ years... I have twin boys who really, REALLY wanted to take a
cting lessons in their area. They live with their mother and I am in LA, so I wasn't going to be able to teach them.
After some research, I found Tyler. And may I just say, THANK GOD that their are still "acting teachers" out their who know what they're talking about. In this day and age, anyone can call themselves an artist or art coach. You see that a lot with singers/dancers, comedians, film artists or musical theater performers who think they know what acting truly is and can teach it. If any prospective teacher claims acting is pretending, or that its all about fun, or that you just have to be/express yourself to be successful, etc... RUN AWAY. They probably have no real education behind it and are a waste of your time and money. This guy is the real deal and I hope I have the pleasure of working with him someday. One Million Thumbs UP!!!"
"Hannah helped me prep audition materials and feel more confident in my skills. Definitely recommend!"
Wondering how to audition for a movie and make it to the big screen? Here, we'll share six important tips for success.
Many major movies are filmed in big cities such as Los Angeles and New York. Whatever big city you are closest to, you should start by looking up the local film office. For example, if you search online for “Massachusetts State Film Office," you should see a website like this.
