There aren't too many schools for rapping that I know of. I learned the way most people learn: on the streets of the city they live in. I've listened heavily to records across Hip-Hop history and I practice MCing regularly as part of my work as a song improviser. I combine techniques from Classical Poetry to modern vocabulary to raise the ceiling on what is possible for an MC.
Things you can expect in rap lessons from me...
-Freestyle: we'll build your confidence and toolset for off-the-top rhyming
-Verse-writing: I'll examine your verses and teach you to refine the writing and delivery to help you reach your audience
-Music Theory: most rappers don't even consider this, but I emphasize understanding music and knowing how to improve your technique and writing through deep understanding of poetry and music theory
-Career Advice: I make sure you get the most bang for your buck when you study rap with me
I am currently a full-time YouTube Creator, sidelining in cover bands and a solo act. Teaching is a big part of what I do online so I see my work as a private teacher as 'research' for the lessons I create. Although I'm firmly grounded in a classical music training, there's nothing you can ask about that I won't try to figure out. My favorite thing about teaching is using unexpected questions to develop new ideas that I then integrate into my original compositions. Check out my intro to the B

If you want to learn hip hop, house, or fusion- I am a very patient yet motivating teacher. I can be strict at times, but only when needed ;-)
Classes focus on ideas and concepts as well as ways to act them out. We learn how to utilize balance, emotion, finesse, attention, and focus to transition between movements. Exploring performing with character, style, technique, and form to develop their own individual philosophies on movement. We dissect different instruments and rhythms to experience them in different parts of the body. Integrating hip hop, ballet, modern, house, and martial arts into one cohesive style.
My goal is to foster artistic growth and to help you surprise yourself!

I believe that music can truly heal the soul. Growing up I come from a family that loves music, and I embraced it cherish it as a pure element. I am studying for my Master's in Education and have a background teaching and coaching sports, as well as giving music lessons. I am finger-printed backgrounded checked to educate pre-school age and K-12 children and have a long history doing so. I have worked professionally with children in every age group including age 2, and adults of elderly age. I also have worked with those with ADHD, post stroke, type 1 diabetes ect so I am very comfortable and sympathetic to adjustments whenever necessary. I'm a yoga instructor, and have a very easy going vibe, though I am surprisingly organized and believe in always finding creative techniques to surpass our goals sooner than thought possible. I know whatever your goals are we can work to get you there, and I will always be here for support during and after private lessons with me.

I am very well experienced in performing many current and old rap hits, including Look at Me Now, Rap God, The Real Slim Shady, and more.
From as early as elementary school, I began singing and performing in my church choir and musicals. Once I got older, I began to take vocal lessons at Van Tuyl Music Academy in Huntington Beach, at which I continued to do for 6 years. At the age of 16, I began performing as a professional lead singer of the wedding and entertainment band High Altitude. I currently perform as a lead singer of ESSEX, an entertainment band that is well known in the Sacramento region.
Though voice is my primary focus of study, theatre and musical theatre is another huge passion of mine. Throughout my high school years, I have also been
In the middle of high school, I became more intrigued by the jazz genre, and the beauty and complexity that lies in a vocal jazz ensemble. While performing with Downey High School Epic Jazz Choir, we performed and often placed in the top 3 at the Monterey, Folsom, Reno jazz festivals. We also had the honor of performing at the JEN jazz festival held in New Orleans, Louisiana. I currently perform with CSUS Voices under the direction of Gaw Vang Williams. Last winter, we had the honor of sharing the stage with the very well established vocal jazz group New York Voices.
Though I mainly sing contemporary music and RnB, I truly love all styles and can teach students the foundational and essential vocal technique that can be applied to any style of music you want to sing and perform. I can also give guidance on how to read music at a beginning and intermediate level and how to play the ukelele and piano as an accompaniment to singing. As a musician, it is very important to me that a student developes their knowledge of music as well as their own beautiful and unique sound. By working together, I know we can achieve it! :)

I had ti stop doing what i was doing and started from scratch....i started recording myself and posting my fliws all over social media and started making cds and selling them at city functions like car shows and stuff. I knew i had to make big moves and prove to the people that my past wasnt part of me any more. So thats when i decided to go to school. I starded by attending L.A.F.S and joined a program that certifies you in music production, i had two kids which inspred me forever and gave me a new vision as to what life gives me in return....... inspiration to others who been through the same or worse. We all can be somebody regardless our past or mistakes, i want to open minds and hearts with my music and since the most knowledgable way to use your knowledge is to pass it on. So here i am making a long struggling story short to tell you that not only did i apply myself to the music but im from the setting where hip hop was born. My wife and kids and number one God first and all things just fall together. Music is my life literally...let me teach you how to express yourself in one of the most beautiful ways words can be expressed, i will show you many things that took time for me to learn and pick up, but can teach yall through these lessons almost everything i know. God bless.
