My specialty is teaching tap as a musical instrument. For me, the movement serves the sound rather than a visual effect. No matter if you're a beginning, intermediate or advanced student, you will discover the potential of the human body to help internalize musical concepts such as phrasing, form, improvisation, and self-expression, as well as gain organic access to complex musical structures. Whether your focus is on building tap dance skills, seeking to connect body and mind in a profound and musical way, or are a musician who wants to become more connected and physically involved with the groove within - you are in the right place! The tap steps are merely tools to access your unique voice. My tap lessons combine technique, improvisation, and combinations with mindfulness, breathing, and body awareness exercises. Find the groove that is within you!

I believe that a dance teacher should have a healthy balance of strict adhesion to excellence and a good dose of pure fun! Dance may not be easy but it is an extremely awarding and fun experience. I would love to help you take your technique to the next level. My goal is that you will grow in confidence and know your self-worth!
I was classically trained in the Vaganova Method, therefore it is the method I train with for Ballet lessons. In addition to being able to assist with Ballet technique (barre work, across the floor, turns, leaps, etc), I teach lyrical and jazz. You will learn terminology as well as execution.
Each class will be structured to fit your individual needs! Let me know if you want special attention to help with an upcoming audition or specific help with flexibility. Or ...
