Do you want to learn how to communicate with the Deaf? Are you intrigued by the use of sign language? Come learn with me. I am Deaf and I use American Sign Language. My brother is also Deaf, so we grew up using ASL together and at school. I have been teaching online for the past 5 years, and I love teaching others how to improve their communication skills in ASL. Sign language is one of the most expressive languages, have you seen an interpreter recently on the new? Have you noticed how fast they move their fingers, and make a variety of facial expressions. I can help you, no matter what level of ASL you know, I want to help you make progress and become fluent. I have a toddler and he is learning ASL, if he can, you can! See you in the classroom!

About Serfirys

My name is Serfirys, my sign name is SF on the side of the chin. I am originally from Dominican Republic but I have been living in New York City for the past two years with my wife and young son. I have been teaching ASL for about fifteen years, and it is one of the things I enjoy, seeing others lig

Serfirys is absolutely delightful! I did just one lesson with him and I am enjoying it so much! He is fun, lively, and it was fun talking to him and also learning new signs. I 100% recommend him.
Lily
Serfirys is a fantastic instructor. He is very patient with me when I am confused or don't remember something, and has a good sense of humor. He challenges me just enough, which I appreciate. I enjoy every lesson and would highly recommend him as a teacher for someone looking to learn a great deal and also have fun while doing so.

I was suppose to start with Ash Back in September however I missed my first lesson from September the November 10th Ash canceled 7 classes and gave various reasons each time. Finally he told me He wouldn't be able to teach at the time I selected even though the teachers make their own schedules it was a very bad introductory to take lessons however I have found a new instructor and am now on my way two months latter

Ash has been a wonderful instructor who has really helped me progress in my signing. He is very patient and makes things very clear.

Hi, I am excited to share the beautiful language of ASL with you!
I have experience teaching for over a year and a half. As well as teaching friends and family in an unofficial setting even longer!
I teach adult beginners as well as children!
I believe learning should be fun! With game-style lessons for children, they'll enjoy learning! And not forget what they've learned! For adults, we'll graduate from basics to discussions about topics that interest you!
I also encourage constant practice, even if it's just in the mirror. I will include homework, in the form of videos of any new vocab. (That way you never have a problem forgetting what you were supposed to practice!)
I love ASL and can't wait to help you learn to love it too!

Hi y'all! I'm so excited to teach you something I love and has changed my life for the better! I am an enthusiastic people person and I am a teacher at heart. I love learning and have found that sharing what I have learned is the best part! Teaching is one of my favorite things! And I have loved

Taught American Sign Language (ASL) full-time and part-time (nights) for 39 years, just recently retired from full-time teaching. I have primarily used Signing Naturally (SN) workbooks, all levels. I have also used Learning American Sign Language (LASL).
Currently, I am teaching Deaf Culture as an online course at San Diego Mesa College.
I have been using ASL since I was 4 years old and I have attended California School for the Deaf, Berkeley (Fremont) and Riverside. I have received valuable experience from Deaf peers of Deaf parents, Deaf adults and Deaf leaders. In this sense, I am a native user of ASL and ASL Fingerspelled Signs.
Graduated from Gallaudet College (University) in Washington, D.C. with a B.S. in Business Administration. I received two Masters degrees from California State University, Northridge, one in Deaf Education and the other in Educational Administration. I received my Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from University of Southern California ...

Wow, can’t say enough good things about Bill! My boyfriend and I decided recently that ASL was something we would really like to pursue learning together, so I signed us both up for lessons with Bill and we are so grateful for all of his patience, guidance, careful explanation, and enthusiasm. Learning so far has been a breeze and so much fun! We really look forward to our lessons, and they seem to fly by each time. We would highly recommend Bill to anyone eager to learn and understand more about sign language. What an incredible experience!

How to Teach Deaf Children to Read

Hearing Loss According to the CDC, at least one in 1,000 babies are born with a hearing loss. Historically, a hearing loss could go overlooked in a baby for months and even years, but fortunately, at present approximately 98% of infants are screened for a hearing loss. Identifying a hearing loss in infants is critical, because the first three years of life are crucial for speech and language development and it’s important for all children to have linguistic input from birth.
