I am an experienced professional guitarist with more than a decade of working experience both as a performer and educator. I have a degree in Jazz Studies from University of Michigan, and have been working on the music scene in New York since 2012.

I provide customized lessons, with an emphasis on fundamental musicianship and instrumental skills, as well as composition. I teach out of my Greenpoint studio, or I am willing to travel to students for an additional fee.

As the lead guitarist for a band for many years, I've gained some knowledge on performance and getting the best sound from the electric guitar. Let me take you on a journey of expression and exploration.

Guitar lessons with me are designed to help students achieve their musical goals. I place high importance on building student self confidence, through improvisation, composition, and technique building exercises. I also place high importance on the use of technology in lessons (beat making, recording techniques, amplifier/effect pedal usage, etc.)

Play your favorite music or write your own. I'll give you the tools to create and copy music you've enjoyed or will enjoy through your guitar playing career or hobby.

I have been teaching electric guitar for the last 5 years. I can help you learn more about open/bar chords, finger picking, palm muting, scales, power chords, tone shaping and soloing/improvisation. We can also work on learning your favorite tunes and maybe writing of some of your own! I am here to help you achieve your goals as a guitar player.
