He has taught me a lot. Lessons are not rushed. He allows me to learn based on my own interests, but also teaches a lot of basics of technique and music theory. The location is convenient to downtown Albuquerque and UNM neighborhood.

In addition to being one of the most educated, well-versed, and talented teachers I have come across in my 2 decades of performing, his passion for music and all that is art is extremely evident. He instills a faith in his students and co-performers that lets you know he believes in you and your potential, and ensures his dedication in assisting you to learn, grow, and bloom both musically and artistically.

I have had Randy as my instructor for over a year and he has helped me develop my singing skills to a level I didn’t think was possible. Even after the first few weeks of class, I noticed a difference in my singing. Randy is extremely knowledgeable and does a wonderful job of teaching. He does well with explaining techniques and makes things easily understandable. He is also very kind, talented and professional. I will always be grateful to Randy because he is helping me to be a singer that I always dreamt of being!

I noticed in my first lesson Tamera was throughly prepared with all the foundational info that I would need to be able to stand before walking. She was also mindful to allow me to sing as I normally would so she could correct my errors and therefore help me achieve my best potential

Teaching piano is a life passion: I started teaching piano to high school students while completing a dual degree in piano performance and music education, and fell in love with watching students learn. Music is an important life skill, so my students of all abilities and ages learn skills to be independent, life-long learners of music, whether they are absolute beginners or preparing for music exams or performances. I have been teaching now for decades, many nationalities and backgrounds, and I help every student grow in technique and musicianship while they define their path of learning.

About Deanna

My two areas of focus are (1) skills for independent note-reading and (2) technique for musicality. I begin most students with Piano Wheel of Knowledge, an essential guide through the basic foundations of piano music. This strengthens basics which students are already comfortable with, and identifi

Nathaniel taught my son who was a beginning player on the bass guitar. I couldn't be more please with the results. Nathaniel did all the normal teacher stuff--had a plan, had prepared goals, gave music homework, was timely--but on top of that he had a friendly, inviting personality that invited my son to want to spend time learning music. It was Nathaniel's happy, inviting attitude that really made things click during my son's lessons and I'm thankful he was willing to take him in as one of his students.

"Steven B. is an exceptional piano teacher. He knows how to motivate and encourage a student, and is very accommodating with regard to a student's particular interests.
One of his most outstanding teaching features is that he has an entirely unique approach to ear training (playing by ear). He creates customized playing-by-ear, step-by-step, walk-through recordings--which he professionally produces in his home studio.
These recordings break down a piece in such a way which allows a student to learn how to recognize intervals, chords, chord inversions, melodic lines, and more.
I cannot emphasize enough the (often under-appreciated) value of such ear training for students at all levels."

"We could not be happier with Marwan! Most importantly, my daughter is thriving with his instruction -- though we like him too :) Marwin brings expansive experience in piano and beyond. For piano, he's got a great balance of being exacting and precise with instructions yet just as flexible as we need him to be if my daughter hasn't been able to practice due to other demands. We like that he doesn't make her feel guilty about that -- but is patient and able to get her on track so she can fulfill her amazing musical potential. We love his in-depth knowledge in a variety of things and he's charming, warm, and humorous to be around. Highly recommended: you'll enjoy meeting and working with him."

"Richard is an extremely talented musician and an encouraging instructor. He takes his time to know his students and their individual needs. He focuses on developing confidence in each student through customized and private lessons. He is not only friendly and extremely patient, but he is also good at gauging his students' abilities and needs. He gave me great feedback to help me improve at an appropriate pace for me. I was surprised to learn how qualified he really is too! He graduated from college in music, composes and records his own songs, has been teaching for many years, and has had over a hundred successful students. Despite his achievements, he still made me believe in myself as a beginning piano student! I highly recommend him!"

"I’ve never played an instrument before. In the year and a half that I took lessons, with Clarissa’s teaching I was able to proficiently play a few complex pieces I was interested in. Additionally, she also helped me study for the Certificate of Merit exam. While I wasn’t able to take the exam due to a family emergency, I’m confident that I would have passed the exam had I taken it. Clarissa also offered many other opportunities beyond lessons such as recitals, group lessons, and master classes (group lessons with an expert guest teacher). All of these opportunities pushed me outside of my comfort zone but greatly enhanced my reading and playing abilities. Clarissa does lessons for younger students as well as adults. Her attention to detail was combined with a wealth of patience and understanding, and as a result my lessons were always enjoyable and it never felt like a chore or that I was being lectured or talked down to. I would highly recommend Clarissa for anyone looking to learn piano."

"Niki has been teaching our son for a year since he was 6. He has learned so much in the last year- she does a great job of starting with the basics- sight reading, music theory, fingering. Her quiet way keeps him calm but also pushes him to learn. Most of all, he really enjoys the piano and looks forward to lessons!"
