Worst experience, complete waste of my money. I could write several paragraphs detailing all the things that occurred that frustrated me, but I will just list a few facts: Could not answer most of my process questions. Very frustrating, but Liz said she would get back to me on the 3 specific questions that I very much needed. I made sure to review the still open questions 2-3 times before the end of our waste of time session. She never got back to me, even after several follow-up requests.

No worries, TakeLessons has a Satisfaction guarantee, right? WRONG. Come to find out they will refund any unspent money. Because Liz demanded to get paid for her time, tho, I was 100% unhappy, TakeLessons refunded the $12 booking fee.

I tried and tried to get satisfaction from both Liz and TakeLessons before resorting to writing this review. I guess TakeLessona thinks it is OK for their instructors to not perform and still get paid. So disappointed in both.

Recently while working with Microsoft Excel I had a task before me that seems like it would take three or four hours. I called Deniece to see if there were any tricks to speed up the process. Within 8 minutes Deniece showed me a few features that I was unaware of and the job was done. Needless to say I was a star at my job and everyone wanted to know what I did!!

Deniece is incredibly knowledgeable and has helped my company- Mishka Oil, to be more successful in the areas that we struggled with! I would recommend Deniece to everyone!

After speaking to multiple tutoring companies, we discovered Matthew. Matthew was very professional and made my son feel comfortable. They had a total of 5 tutoring sessions covering Math, English, Science and Reading. My son took the ACT after his tutoring sessions and scored a 23. We were very pleased with the progress our son made by going from an ACT score of 19 to 23 after only 5 sessions with Matthew. I would highly recommend Matthew J. Horwich to anyone needing tutoring.

Matthew explained his approach to coaching and the plan so we were able to make an educated choice on the best tutor for our son. Matthew was responsive, organized and worked very well with our son. He communicated directly with our son and cc:ed me so that I was aware of the plan and f/u. His scores did improve on the SAT and we were pleased with the investment.

Matt has been awesome for my student. His math skills have improved greatly, and his  writing has come from illegible to what can now be described as neat and readable.  Matt has been very patient and deliberate with our son and has taken the time to really  explain things to Jake in a way he can understand. We would recommend this tutor to  any parent looking for a tutor for their grammar school student! Matt is also reliable and  prompt and showed up when expected which was helpful with our very busy schedules.

I learned a lot from Marcel and liked his vision of how to redo the garden. The original garden was cluttered with overlapping plants and we discussed how to improve it. He pulled out his iPad and made several garden sketches that were helpful. (We only bought new plants if they were needed to realize the new garden vision.) He is also a very hard worker, helping me (physically) transplant and add plants as required. For example, we transplanted a 100+ (?) pound Sago palm across the front yard. I would never have done that on my own (too heavy for me) but together we did it! Highly recommended. Bill

Excellent teacher. We took a 20'x2' section of "dirt" in the back, redid the soil, transplanted a rose in that section, added two other new roses and a bunch of ground cover. Looks great! Recommended.

I did not actually take any lessons with him, but his schedule did not reflect what showed as available in Takelessons. He had a very bad attitude and would not actually schedule the lesson after several exchanges.
