About Chef Stevie

Hi! I'm Chef Stevie. I’m a graduate of Walnut Hill College, one of Philadelphia's oldest Culinary arts schools. I loved my classes because every day was a new opportunity to see, touch and learn something new.

I've loved cooking for others and teaching the art of cooking is one of my passions. Even after 20 years, I still get excited about exploring different cuisines. My classes are fun and informative. My students tell me that my zest for cooking is contagious and that they find themselves being more creative in other aspects of their life. I also enjoy growing my own food, raising chickens and enjoying nature.

I've taught community cooking demos, groups and individual classes. I also enjoy cooking for small intimate gatherings. I’ve even had the pleasure of learning Molecular Gastronomy cooking. Check out Wikipedia if you are i

nterested in learning more about Molecular Cuisine.

GROUP classes are available as well as some limited travel. Let’s get cooking! Cheers

About Lily

I am a fashion designer/instructor and former social worker. I am very patient with students and passionate about sewing. I get excited watching students build skills gradually from basic through advanced level techniques.
Also, I am one of the few teachers in the country who teaches the exclusive "Freehand" sewing, which is sewing without ready-made (commercial) pattern, like our grandparents did.
As a social worker, I taught participants in a homeless shelter, how to make various items geared towards independent living. For 9years now, I've been teaching at a fabric store in East Harlem where patrons sign up for group sewing lessons as well as private lessons. I teach garment construction, alterations, home decor, and various sewing projects.

We couldn't have imagined a more excellent instructor for our daughter. Lily has such a kind and pleasant demeanor. She is intelligent, patient, and is literally the best teacher that I have seen work with my daughter.

I give Lily my highest recommendation and always look forward to her coming and teaching my daughter. The relationship that they have formed is invaluable, beyond sewing. We are so appreciative and grateful to her.
