I had the pleasure of watching Nikiya perform most of her masterpieces! Ranging from classical pieces such as Chopin and also her delicate and beautiful pieces that she had written and composed herself. Never before have I seen such a talent. If you have her as a professor consider yourself very fortunate. She truly cares for each student individually.

About Andrea
I am a recent graduate from SUNY Fredonia with a dual degree in Music Education and Violin Performance. I have taught about 10 students between ages 9-12 in my home studio. I have also worked at the Amadeus String shop individually teaching around a dozen beginner students in 2014.
Teaching music is something I absolutely love to do! I believe that creating and discovering music is a gift that everyone should be able to experience and it is never too late to start! Enjoying yourself is my number one goal, then making you the best musician you can be comes afterwards.
At Fredonia I have learned to become viola, cello, bass, and piano proficient so I could teach any student those instruments on a beginner-intermediate level.
I am also an avid performer and fiddler. I have played in my school's symphony orchestra, chamber orchestra, and
many chamber ensembles. I have also performed with the Northern-Dutchess Symphony Orchestra, the Orchard Park Symphony, the Warren Philharmonic, the Southern Tier Symphony, and the Woodstock Chamber Orchestra. These are only a few groups I have played with!

Andrea is one of those rare individuals with a zest for life that is contagious. Her lessons are fun, upbeat, and lesson time spent with her absolutely flies by. I learned a few fiddle tunes with her and loved every minute of it! As a performer she brings her charisma onto the stage with her and is an absolute joy to watch perform. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is in search of a teacher.

Andrea is a warm and friendly young teacher. While we only spent 30 minutes together for our first lesson for my 12 year old daughter yesterday, I can see that only positive things lie in store for my daughter as a violin student with Andrea this summer!

Years ago I took Guitar Lessons at a local music store ( a very prominent one) as a raw beginner and quickly became frustrated with my lack of progress. Although my teacher was a great player and "very hot" to look at I soon began to feel like I was merely his "practice dummy."... I'd play the chords he showed me, endlessly,... while he seemed to be just practicing his solo playing. ... I then tried On-Line Lessons from various sites which were actually even less helpful and soon just lost interest completely.
A friend of mine said she had taken lessons from a Don DeBold for about 5 years before going off to college and highly recommended him.
I've now been taking lessons from Don for almost 2 years and having a blast ! I've learned how to play along with most of my favorite songs (mainly Blues and Rock) and now I'm learning to play Solo Guitar that needs no accompaniment !
Unlike my first teacher, during many lessons Don barely plays or even has his Strat on his lap because he's busy concentrating on what I'm doing !
He's a stickler yet lots of fun at the same time> I super recommend him as a Guitar and Music Teacher !!! Aneiah J.

About David
Hi my name is David and I love and enjoy teaching guitar lessons to students of all ages and I come to your home for lessons. My goal in life is to enrich people's lives with music. The first thing I do is interview the student and find out why they want to play the guitar and what are some of their goals. Then I find out what style of music they would like to learn. I have the student come up with ten songs they would like to learn. I take this information and structure future guitar lessons around the essential elements of these songs. I design each lesson to teach the specific skills required to learn those songs. I create an organized custom guitar lesson workbook for each of my students at no cost to the student or parent. This way, my students have a weekly organized practice routine and they become successful. Having a teaching deg
ree, (B.A. Music - Conservatory of Music - Concentration: Studio Composition / Master's in Education - M.A.T. / Adolescence Education (Grades 5-12) 3.56 GPA).

I create all of the guitar lessons to meet each students individual needs that include lessons on theory, technique, rhythm, chords, scales, riffs, arpeggio's, songs, and exercises etc. I break down songs into easy digestible parts so students can learn a song in a logical and most manageable way. I use a color coded method to teach that I created that help students not only learn and understand scales and chords but also they are able to see visually how scales and chords are created. I currently teach private guitar lessons and have worked for 12 years in our local schools as a teacher with students K through 12. For 2 years, from 2012 to 2014 I taught an after-school enrichment guitar and songwriting class. I created the curriculum and music workbook specifically for 6 and 7-year old children whom I taught at Pequenakonck Elementary School in North Salem, NY. In College I won an award for the most Improved Studio Composition Student at Purchase College. I incorporate lessons that I have learned in the classroom as a teacher to help my guitar students learn. I feel the most important thing for my students to learn about music is to have a lot of fun.

About Rachel
I am a classically trained professional violinist. I graduated with my Bachelor of Music degree from SUNY Fredonia and received my Master of Music degree from The University of Akron. I have also completed coursework for my Master in Arts Administration.

While in school, I took classes on pedagogy and truly enjoyed learning how to teach. I maintained a studio, taught non-music majors, and worked as a substitute violin/viola teacher in local music academies. I have taught students as young as 6 to students exploring music in their retirement. It is a rewarding challenge to be able to find the key or missing link in the pursuit for artistry.

I believe it is essential to be a well rounded individual no matter what the career goals are set. Music has been proven to be a great skill to pursue. When I meet new students, I want to learn not o
nly where they are musically with their instrument but also what other interests the student may have. Having wide and varied interests personally, being able to tie in the similarities to encourage ease of learning was essential to me.

My students can expect scales, etudes, and repertoire assignments based on their skill level. It is expected that students will practice throughout the week to see the most improvement.

About Patrick
With a passion for pushing the musical envelope, pianist Patrick can’t help but compose and perform. He plays his own brand of jazz in his trio with drummer Josh Towers and bassist Stephanie Lozina. “Strange Gift”, his new EP, was released in November 2017, featuring 5 original compositions recorded live with the trio.

Growing up in Poughkeepsie, NY, Patrick got his start in music singing and playing guitar in rock bands in high school. He also played piano in his high school jazz ensemble. In his junior year he shifted gears musically and began performing at local cafes in a solo electronic noise project. During this time, he also began to study classical piano with Julie Wegner and got his first musical job at 16 as piano accompanist in The Poughkeepsie Boys Choir. After high school, Patrick played in a free jazz group with drummer
Matt Luczak and saxophonist M2 which performed in NYC venues such as Spectrum, Downtown Music Gallery, and ABC No Rio. Following several excursions to the west coast, Patrick began composing in a more melodic style which he continues to do in his trio.

The Patrick's Trio has performed at Piano’s (Manhattan, NY), Snug Harbor (New Paltz, NY), BSP (Kingston, NY), Savoy Taproom (Albany, NY), Squashed Grapes (Ventura, CA) and many other Hudson Valley venues and private parties.

In 2017, Patrick has played keyboards with rock band 5 Day Knights, R&B singer Kortnee Simmons, funk/soul band ToasterBasket and jazz group The John Drescher Ensemble. He has also been doing some studio work; recording piano and keyboards on Daniel James Vinett’s album Flight Of The Moon at Skytop Studios with Robert Bard and Mark Dziuba, and keyboards on Danny Pickering’s Christmas album Dear Santa, Its A Long Story.

Patrick is available for live performances, session work, and lessons.

I have listened to Jennifer as she gave flute lessons to several young beginning students. I observed that she truly cares about her students and invests herself in their progress. She has a creative teaching style, always coming up with new ways to approach the challenges of each individual student. She spends time to discover the students’ goals and structures their lesson plans accordingly. Jennifer is also a good communicator with the parents of younger students, making sure they are informed and inviting them to observe lessons if they wish. I’m sure you’ll find her a delight to work with.
