About Spencer
I quit guitar at 7 years old. I realized that many people quit for the same reason I did: when their fingers stroked the guitar, they didn't like the sounds they heard. Like many, I grew tired of the instrument, had no motivation to build the required finger strength, and decided playing guitar wa

He's really personable, so in our first lessons, I learned that he taught himself to play by ear, like many of the greats.
What is really helping me play better, is something he calls the art of transformation; something he learned from listening to rare vinyl records nearly 100 years old.
Not only will you get better at guitar, but if you ask Spencer, you will learn many interesting facts about music and it's evolution.

Hi, I'm Derek. I have a degree in classical guitar. I've taught guitar for over 14 years. I've played guitar for over 80 bands or artists, 28 of whom are major-label artists, including Thomas Rhett, Florida Georgia Line and Jake Owen to name a few. I've had the honor of living my dream. I now live in Bend, Oregon and perform with Precious Byrd. I'm offering guitar lessons to students in Bend and Redmond, Oregon and also online via Skype. I would be honored to teach you what I've learned over a lifetime of being a student myself and of real-life experience with the guitar.

I offer a unique range of styles on the guitar such as jazz , blues, r&b, spanish flamenco style, and classical style guitar playing methods. Along with these styles, I also teach the students how to improvise and apply theory to their playing. A great deal of in depth work really goes into this, but it really provides the student, as well as the teacher, a great educational experience.
About Brian
Hello, My name is Brian and I've been teaching guitar for over 20 years. I've been employed as a professional studio musician and I have worked with many different types of musicians and bands for the same amount of time. I'm currently a solo artist / composer and I teach students of all levels

I have quite a few Flamenco students.
I generally teach traditional Flamenco, where you will learn the basic Flamenco techniques, strums, rhythms, and palos (styles).
I also teach Noveau Flamenco, which is a hybrid of pop/jazz/flamenco (see Jesse Cook, Ottmar Liebert, etc). If you're interested in learning this style, we'll still do some traditional flamenco to build a foundation, but we'll also examine specific songs, learn the theory behind the songwriting, and work on improvisation and songwriting.
Many of my flamenco students also love to work on a classical Spanish piece or two to improve their picado technique, and this is something I am also good at.
Most all lessons will end with a video tutorial made by me, tailored to your exact lesson so you have good direction on how/what to practice that week.

I've been taking lessons with Ed for about 8 months.
Ed is teaching the flamenco basics and techniques, and also makes sure he adds in some easier items so that I can see progress. The lessons are comfortable - Ed has an easy going personality that makes the lessons comfortable and enjoyable.
Very pleased with Ed as my instructor"

I have been playing neuvo flamenco for several years and I have had several guitar instructors. None of them come close to Jaxon. Most of my teachers were very good guitar players but not great at teaching - Jaxon is not only a great guitarist but a fantastic teacher. He has the ability to look at every aspect of my guitar playing (technique, posture, composition, etc) and greatly improve it. I highly recommend him to any level of guitarist. He will make you a better guitarist!"

Very patient teacher. He has the patience of a Saint.
Great progress."

David is patient, he does an excellent job explaining things and goes above and beyond to make sure that you're really learning. Consistently impressed."

Diego is professional, talented, deligent, patient, caring, well prepared, well knowledged, knows how to prepare and challenge his students and most importantly, puts his students interests first.
There are no words I can use to explain the joy my son has when he takes his lessons and when he finishes and performs one of Diego's flamenco pieces, nor can I explain his anxiety when waiting for his lesson to begin. Diego is truly a great teacher and mentor to his students and I strongly recommend him to be the guitar teacher of choice."
