I am a professional dancer in New York City. I have a lifetime of experience and love teaching ballet. I am lighthearted and upbeat, while being commited to imparting the knowledge it takes to make a great dancer. On the other hand, if the intention is to have fun while learning the art form and stay in shape, I enjoy keeping the flow and energy up during class. The idea is to learn and grow within a highly structured series of exercises. This class will mainly consist of a barre and some center combinations.

American Ballet Theatre Certified Teacher Beginning - Level 3. Teaching students the foundational skills necessary for a life filled with dance is my passion. Assisting students to grow by building their skills, developing their artistry, and finding their voice through movement is my goal. I expect each student to have a goal in mind when we begin. It can be as big as striving to be a professional, as wonderful as keeping in good health, and as simple as learning new steps.

I am a current principal ballet dancer with the San Diego Ballet, where I have been dancing for the past 14 years and 9 years as principal dancer. Prior to that I was a member of the Houston Ballet II. My teaching is based on my background of both the Chechetti Method and The French Method. I have the unique ability to be able to share as a professional ballet dancer what it takes to get to the highest level.

I teach all levels, and all ages. I have been teaching in schools all over Southern Calfiornia for the past 14 years, and I am the artistic director of the San Diego Ballet Summer Intensive.

I working closely with each of my students, helping them to better understand ballet steps and technique from the inside out. Dancers will build confidence through each lesson by learning how to properly use their body to build an solid foundation, so that the ballet technique becomes effortless enjoyment rather than a never-ending struggle.
