I've been teaching ballet for over twenty years. My ballet teacher was a Bolshi alumnai. He and his dad both danced for the Bolshi before they came to America. I teach a combination of Vaganova and my own updated style to keep my students interested in the style. I use classical music and pop to help students gain a love and appreciation for the style.
About Kay
I have been teaching Piano for 20 years now. I have taught students from age 2 1/2 - Adult. I was self-taught when I was a kid and begun taking formal lessons as a very young adult in my early twenties. I graduated from CSULB with my BA in Music with a concentration on Voice. I've studied ballet (eventually getting to pointe) on and off for seven years with a number of teachers using different technique standards. If ballet is something you'd like to try, or perhaps you're an actor looking for more movement training, I'd love to teach you! While I could teach up to an intermediate level, I prefer working with beginners one-on-one. Private lessons allows me to take the time to show you the ropes and proper technique without the pressure of a fast-paced classroom environment. This can be especially helpful for those who may be unsure about dancing in front of others or are coming at it past the "typical" ballet age and are yet to find a class that makes them feel at home! I have this problem myself and I am only in my 20's (a lot of ballet classes near me have mainly young teens as students)! So whatever your goals are with ballet, or if it's just something you want to try out, let's talk and make a plan for some training! I also love working with kids on ...

I am a professional ballet dancer and I love to help students achieve "clean" un-stylized classical technique, whether they hope to gain admittance into top ballet schools, summer programs or audition for companies. I began training at age 3 and have experience with small and large schools. For my high school years, I trained with American Ballet Theatre's JKO School, where I received ABT certification to teach Levels Pre-Ballet - 3, then did my post secondary training with Canada's National Ballet School in Toronto. Since graduating, I have danced with Les Grands Ballet Canadiens in Montreal and Semperoper Ballett in Dresden, Germany. I would be more than happy to share tips and encourage any age student as they reach for their individual goals.
About Isabelle
Levels Taught: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced I love sharing the beautiful classical art of ballet with young students! I like to keep class fun while gently helping students retain habits that encourage a language of clean classical technique through proper form, allowing them to work towar

Speaking as a peer, Jennifer's teaching style is a great hybrid between a technique-driven, traditional curriculum and a wholesome appreciation for the joy and spirit that keeps dance as a universal language. Students not only gain an understanding of the vocabulary but a safe space to develop discipline, strength and confidence."
