About Brace
Brace N. has been a prolific performer since his arrival to New York in 1998. Brace recently brought his “powerful bass baritone voice” to Hubbard Hall Opera Theatre as the title character in Don Pasquale. Recent performances include a “Bolgeresque Leporello [that]was truly hilarious” in Don Giovanni with the Bronx Opera; Bass soloist in Handel’s Te Deum and PDQ Bach’s Missa Hilarious and Handel’s Easter Oratorio with the Oratorio Singers and Orchestra of Westfield, New Jersey; Colline in La Boheme with Opera Manhattan; Pandolfe in Massenet’s Cendrillon with New York Lyric Opera Company; Count Ceprano in Rigoletto with San Antonio Opera; Figaro in a concert version of Le nozze di Figaro with the Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra; and Pantaleone in Bronx Opera’s Der Drei Pintos.
In July of 2009, Brace had his European opera debut perf
orming the title role of Donizetti’s Don Pasquale as well as the Bonze in Puccini’s Madame Butterfly with Lyrique en Mer Opera Company in Belle Île, France with a national radio broadcast of Don Pasquale’s first act on the radio station, France Musique. In the fall of 2008, Brace had his debut with Toledo Opera as Count Ceprano in Verdi’s Rigoletto with a favorable mention in the Toledo Blade Newspaper that read “In supporting roles soprano Kirsten Chambers as Countess Ceprano and bass-baritone Brace as her indignant husband, Count Ceprano, were standouts in the first act, opening scene”. In March 2009, Brace was invited back to Toledo Opera to perform the 1st Nazarene and the Cappadocian in Strauss’s Salome.
Past performances include Jupiter in Offenbach's Orpheus and the Underworld with Bronx Opera which nabbed Brace a solid review in the New York Times stating that “The bass-baritone Brace, one of the better singers on Saturday, also demonstrated comic gifts as the swaggering, hypocritical Jupiter”; Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro with the Queens College Opera Studio; Christiano in Verdi's Un ballo in maschera with Des Moines Metro Opera where he received a review in the October 2008 issue of Opera News; Finalist in the Azuriales Opera Festival/Competition Concert Series performed in Beaulieu sur Mer, France; a Lincoln Center debut as Ali in an excerpts program of Rossini's L'Italiana as part of the Melody for Peace UNESCO Concert at Avery Fisher Hall; Gregorio in Romeo et Juliette and 2nd Armored Man in Zauberflote both with New Jersey Opera Theater; performer with the Lucerne Festival in Lucerne, Switzerland, under Maestro Pierre Boulez and Daniel Reusse; an Asian debut in Singapore with Singapore Theatreworks as the lead The Cowherd in The Silver River by Bright Sheng; and finalist in the Heinz Rehfuss Competition held in Orlando, Florida.

I teach the same technique that the greats of the Golden Age used. Lots of science-backed technique designed to strengthen your voice and help you sing healthily. We will choose material appropriate for your voice type/age/range and apply the technique. I also place heavy emphasis on breathing technique, vowel modification, diction and foreign language pronunciation.

About Jessica
With more than 26 years of performance experience, I offer my students a fun, science-backed technique that is perfect for all ages and levels. I trained at Juilliard, Pepperdine University, and hold a degree from The New School. Here is my full professional bio:

"In recent seasons, she has sung Santuzza in North Shore Music Festival’s production of Cavalleria Rusticana; the Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors for the inaugural production of the Modern Opera Repertory Company, and also for the Passionist Hatian Missionary Charities in New York City; Brünnhilde in excerpts of Wagner’s Ring as part of an experimental theater piece entitled “A Yiddishe Wagner” for the 14th Street Y’s LABA Live project; as the soprano soloist in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the Garden State Philharmonic; and she has performed in recital with the Ca
ntanti Project NYC.
She joined DiCapo Opera Theater covering the role of Abigail Williams and performing the role of Sarah Good in Robert Ward’s The Crucible and repeated her performance for the award-winning European Premiere of the work in Szeged, Hungary in November, 2008. Other engagements have included Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia with Metro Lyric Opera New Jersey, and 2nd Lady in The Magic Flute with the Harrisburg Opera Association.

Active on the concert stage as well as in opera, Ms. Schneiderman has been a regular soloist with her home orchestras, the Burbank Philharmonic and the New West Symphony, performing works by Mahler, Stravinsky, Orff and Mozart. She has also performed at Carnegie Hall as soprano soloist in the world premiere of Ed Lojeski’s Missa Americana. Later, she premiered the soprano solos of Mike Garson’s Symphonic Suite for Healing at the new Segerstrom Hall in Costa Mesa, CA.
Ms. Schneiderman made her operatic debut with Festival Opera Walnut Creek as Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro to much critical acclaim and went on with the company to perform Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Sophie in Werther. Ms. Schneiderman attended the San Francisco Opera Merola Program, and immediately followed this with a year as a Resident Young Artist with Seattle Opera, where she specialized in the music of Mozart and Rossini. She is is also a recipient of many awards and recognitions, including 3rd place in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions - Southwest Region, 5th Place in the Loren L. Zachary Society competition, Gari Foundation Encouragement Award winner, and Violetta DuPont Competition finalist.
In addition to her passion for classical music, Ms. Schneiderman has performed extensively in crossover music, having performed regularly with pop legend, David Foster, at various events. Voice lessons for a student interested in studying Classical Voice by way of Opera Arias and Art Songs

About Angela
I am a professional opera singer and voice instructor in New York City. I have an opera, musical theater, church and choral background. I am comfortable teaching all styles of music.

Our singing voice is the instrument that we were each born to play. My goal is to make singing effortless and enjoyable and to help my students build confidence in themselves by developing their instrument.

Together we will work on breathing, speaking and vocal exercises as well as appropriate repertoire singing with beautiful Italian vowels, free of tension and with emphasis on emotional purpose.

It would be my pleasure to work with my students on basic music theory. I can also help students prepare their voices for public speaking engagements.

Learn how the pros do it!

If you want to learn pop, I'll teach you the same techniques used by Lady Gaga, Christina Aguilera, Bon Jovi, Mick Jagger, and more... because I study with their teacher!

If you want to learn Opera, learn to tackle any audition, gig, or recording session just like Marilyn Horne did. I've got exercises from teachers at the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, and from Marilyn Horne herself to get you right on top of your game!

I've been singing professionally for 16 years. I've sung my own show at Carnegie Hall. I was Gaston in the national tour of Beauty and the Beast and I never missed one of our 326 shows. I can get you on the Gaston regimen in as little as one lesson.

Please message me with your availability and describe your goals before you purchase a lesson.

About Christiaan
Christiaan is a multi-talented performer in theater, opera, and pop music. He played Gaston in the Broadway tour of Beauty and the Beast. Something of a bad boy, he was kicked out of Opera School for singing jazz, yet he went on to earn three music degrees, and work with opera legend Marilyn Horne and avant-garde composer Jake Heggie. Now he's in New York studying with Lady Gaga's teacher and singing his own arrangements of Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5, and John Mayer at Carnegie Hall while writing and recording pop songs in Nashville and the U.K. Look for his new single That's When You Know.

Christiaan enjoys seeing people succeed, so his approach to teaching is a combination of play and practice. Ultimately we sing because we want to bring people joy, yet to do so, we must hone our talents to perfection. By mixing the joy of music with disci
pline, we achieve our greatest dreams.

I focus on the correct way to produce sound regarldless of style. I focus on building a solid foundation with proper technique. I do this while also maintaining a positive and fun atmosphere. Singing should be a way to brighten your day and while you come to lessons to learn, I believe you can have fun while doing so 😀

About Leigh
Leigh, a soprano residing in the DMV area, graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance from Virginia Commonwealth University, she has participated in masterclassesv with artists such as Arianna Zukerman and Ann Baltz and performed in many productions. Her most recent role was as Hermia in A Midsummer Nights Dream with Shakespeare Opera Theater in Manassas.

During her time at VCU, Leigh was a featured soloist with The VCU Women's Choir and the Commonwealth Singers on multiple occations. She was also featured in the roles of: Gianetta (The Gondoliers), Jou-Jou (The Merry Widow) and Papagena (The Magic Flute).

During her time at school she started teaching voice lessons in Richmond VA. Since then, she has taught students from all different ages and abilities. She loves how a voice lesson can turn any kind of day into an
amazing one. The ability to make a student smile through music when something finally clicks or they get to sing their favorite song is the most amazing feeling.

This year, along with a personal recital and volunteer work, Leigh was contracted to sing as the mezzo soprano soloist in Saint-Saens Noel. In the year to come she will be studying with Arianna Zukerman, building her personal voice studio and preparing for her busy summer. She will be singing in New York City as the Sleep Fairy and the Gretel understudy with the Manhattan Opera Studio where she will also perform an aria and opera scenes concert at Carnegie Hall. Following that she will travel to Tuscany to sing and study with Bel Canto in Tuscany!

Online lessons can get confusing and even though the connection can get wonky Leigh was really great about it. If something made the lesson run longer, she would give me extra time to make up for connection problems. Aside from being really great about working with you, she also knows her stuff. From how to sing freely to great song choices, she really knows a lot.

I am studying to become a professional classical singer. Through my own training, I have discovered that having an amazing teacher – one who is supportive, caring, and hard working, and who will push you and work with you to be better – is the most important tool an aspiring musician can have. I believe that every student is different, as no person's body is the same, and no vocal instrument is the same. Based on my performance in the Teaching of Singing course at Oberlin Conservatory of Music, I was selected to be a voice teacher to non-Conservatory students at Oberlin College. I have now had several students, two of whom, with my assistance, have just been accepted to prestigious summer programs in classical voice. Though I have only been teaching voice to others for a year now, I have been teaching myself alongside my own teachers through practice and independent work for the past nine years, and I have discovered countless techniques and tricks to help every aspect of singing.

About Rachel
I am studying to become a professional classical singer, and am enrolled as a Masters degree candidate in Voice and Opera at Mannes School of Music. Through my own training, I have discovered that having an amazing teacher – one who is supportive, caring, and hard working, and who will push you and work with you to be better – is the most important tool an aspiring musician can have. I believe that every student is different; no person's body is the same, and no vocal instrument is the same.

Based on my performance in the Teaching of Singing course at Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where I just graduated with my Bachelors in Music as a Voice Performance major with a Music History minor, I was selected to be a voice teacher to non-Conservatory students at Oberlin College. As a singer myself, I have discovered countless techniques and tricks to help every aspect of singing, as well as the discovery that what works for some people does not necessarily work for others, and that's ok! The voice is individual because it is inherently unique to the person it belongs to. It is the exciting, demanding, and amazing work of a teacher to bring out each individual's voice, and I love discovering a person's voice with them. I can't wait to work with you and find your voice!
