Vania is an excellent Spanish instructor

I've taken many Spanish lessons that have ranged from various software programs to personal tutors. Vania is great. She knows how to relate with each person in order to convey concepts. She's the best I have worked with.

She's also very accommodating, since I tend to change my schedule around a lot. She is always flexible to accommodate. Vania is simply great.

I had a great time learning Spanish with Carolina. She was encouraging and made learning easy and fun. I wanted to use my Spanish in real life situations and it really came in handy when I was travelling in Barcelona. I’m still taking lessons from her because there’s always more to learn :) .

Hi! My name is Kate and I have been teaching Spanish for more than 4 years, both in private schools and online. I have a DELE certificate (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language), as well as a «Competent Language Instructor» certificate that I got in a well known language school in Kiev, where I worked after I completed a course dedicated to Spanish teaching methodology. In addition, I have two years of experience as a translator in different projects and one year in a Spanish company in Kiev.

I'm 28 and I'm from Ukraine so my native languages are Ukrainian and Russian, but I started learning Spanish when I was nine years old, so I have been learning it for almost 20 years. I have studied very intensively for the past 7 years and I'm still looking for new topics from which I can learn. I'm in permanent contact with native speakers from Spain and various Latin American countries so I can easily explain to you the differences between distinct varieties of language.

Hola!
My name is Ra. I am a native Spanish speaker. My classes are geared toward making you comfortable speaking Spanish. Although we will do some reading and writing we will focus a lot on conversation which is my specialty and in my opinion the most fun!

Any level is welcomed!

About Ra
Hola!

My name is Ra. I am a dancer, poet, and educator. I specialize in teaching conversational Spanish, Latin Dance, and Spoken Word Poetry. I am a native Spanish speaker. Originally from Puerto Rico, I grew up between PR and New York City. I graduated from The New School University and lived abroad several years teaching language in a Bilingual Schools. I began my dance studies back home in Puerto Rico with traditional Boricua roots music like Bomba y Plena. I now work for several dance companies, perform spoken word poetry, and teach dance/poetry/spanish to children and adults. As a Teaching Artist I aim to help my students become more comfortable whether it's with learning Spanish or learning to dance Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, or Flamenco.

I believe learning new things opens up a whole new world to us. With me you will get to
a point where you feel comfortable speaking Spanish or Dancing, or writing poetry which is the ultimate goal right?! :-)

Ra was very professional, welcoming and well knowledgeable to say the least. For a beginner such as myself with no prior experience, not once did I feel left out or that I couldn't catch up to her and it was all due to Ra being willing to not only revisit the steps but to do it all over again if necessary. Ra does not only engage and interacts with you very well, but she makes certain that you are also having fun all while learning. In conclusion, I highly recommend Ra if you are looking to get your Latin groove on!

Ra is such an amazing teacher . She was very patient and kind with me making me feel at ease right away . Ra was understanding about me speaking some Spanish but being hesitant of having a Spanish conversation due to me not being fluent . She was great at taking the pressure off and actually getting you to enjoy the language and speaking it .very uplifting and I never felt discouraged if I messed up . I definitely recommend her

I have 5 years experience teaching Spanish in a classroom setting, and have tutored both kids and adults. I have both presented at teaching conferences and published in the field of language teaching. I work to make language learning practical, fun, and personal! Will use industry-researched best practices to help push you in the direction that you want to take your abilities. I will be attending NYU in the fall to begin a Master of Arts in Teaching Foreign Language.

About Wyatt
I am an experienced Spanish teacher who just moved to the NYC area to start grad school in the fall. I have taught middle school Spanish in the Boston area for the past 5 years, but have experience in classrooms and tutoring young kids, teenagers and adults. I have both presented work at teaching conferences and published in the field of language teaching.
I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) in 2010 with a major in Spanish. I've lived for 3 academic years in Spain, and have also spent significant amounts of time in Mexico, Costa Rica, Chile and Perú.
My preference is to make lessons conversational, practical and personal. I strongly believe that a language, like any skill, is best learned THROUGH DOING IT (as opposed to learning about it in a textbook). That said, I am always happy to cater to your specific inter
ests and needs.
