Traci is a fantastic teacher because she is a fantastic dancer. She knows how to guide you whether you are overcoming an injury or trying to take your dancing to the next level. Traci takes ballet seriously but with lots of humor and grace!

I reached out to Traci to brush up on my ballet technique when I was preparing for an audition. She is a wonderful teacher! Her corrections are always specific and very helpful. Working with her has really boosted my technique and made me feel more confident walking into dance calls.

Based on your current study level, I'll follow your subject textbook to give you a deeper and clearer understanding, from basic adding and multiplying to calculating the derivative. The main goal of tutoring is to help you understand the concept of why and how a problem should be solved. I can also help to to get ahead of your class.

About Wankun
Hi, I'm Wankun, a college student at CUNY John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I've many diverse interests, from music to science. I believe that everybody can do both with a balance, and so far, I'm loving it.

Music was always part of my life. I started to play piano when I was 6 and I've advanced it when I was in high school. Still, there are always room for improvement so I'm still practicing to this day. After I moved to the US I start learning other instruments too. In high school I played oboe in wind ensemble and flute in marching band. I always loved hanging out with our school band, just enjoying music in a friendly, cooperative environment. I love music so much, that I listen to songs every day, and I'm planning to do a music minor.

Math and science is another part of my life that I enjoy. As a kid, I was always intereste
d in science documentaries. In school I was the top students in math and science. I learn really quickly so I got ahead of the subjects. I passed the AP text for Chemistry in my sophomore year and the Calculus AB text in my junior year. Currently, I'm studying for Forensic Science at my College.

I don't have a lot of teaching experience, but I believe my ability to share my knowledge with others. I love helping people and I understand that learning can sometimes be overwhelming and boring. So I always love to teach with some twists, we can both enjoy the session and also complete our goal: to advance your knowledge.

Thank you for being interested in me to be your teacher. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

I am new to taking lessons with Wankun. I took lessons about a decade ago but had to curtail them. So, I was nervous about starting up again. She calmed my fears with her very professional and fun way of teaching. She is prompt, patient, and effective. I highly recommend her.

When I first knew Wankun, I was amazed by her passion and talent in music. I know for sure that she is a great pianolist, violinist and a lot others. It is enjoyable and pleasing to hear beautiful rhythm coming out from her fingers. If you have the same passion and want to explore the splendid world of music, you should definitely take her classes!

Hello! My name is Jessie and I have over 12 years of experience as a teacher and a tutor. I have worked with students from elementary grades all the way up to high school as a tutor and I've worked at both the high school and middle school levels as a teacher. During lessons, I focus on the individual goals of each student in order to create a specific plan for efficient growth. I love to see my students gain confidence in new skills, often surpassing their original goals! My lessons are fun and engaging, but focused. If you have specific assignments/tests that you need help preparing for we will focus on those. However, if your goal is overall improvement in an area, then I will give you assessments that allow me to precisely identify any areas of weakness or challenge for us to focus on!

Academically, I have two BAs in literature (one in English and one in German literature). I also have a MA in secondary mathematics education and have completed 46 graduate credit hours in special ...

Math lessons are unique with me because I am willing to explain a topic in multiple different ways just to ensure the student will understand. I have a lot of experience teaching math to my younger brother putting it in terms that were familiar to him specifically.

About Caroline
I am currently a researcher in a biology lab at NYU hospital while I am waiting to apply to medical school in the upcoming year. I went to Lafayette College and graduated in 2017 as a Biology major. I have been tutoring on the side my younger brother through Geometry, Algebra 1 and 2, Pre-Calc, AP Statistics and Calculus 1. I have helped with SAT math prep as well as ACT and really helped his confidence grow in his studies. I will go the extra mile to explain the subject in terms you student will understand. My main priority is helping your student get the tools to be able to face a problem and not get frustrated but get to the answer.

As a young professional, pursuing my passion for education has become paramount. Since graduating from high school, I have taken advantage of every opportunity to hone such skills. My drive and determination to pursue my passion for education are steadfast. To have the ability to shape young minds through meaningful yet exciting lessons in my very own classroom space is a responsibility and a privilege I will never take lightly.

Furthermore, the knowledge I have gained through various jobs and internships have only further reaffirmed my passion for teaching young minds. As a result, I have garnered a sense of dedication and appreciation while working in such an environment. Therefore, I believe that my creative insight and strong work ethic could be of great benefit.

About Zach
As a current student enrolled at the Touro College of Education, I have taken a strong interest in pursuing a full-time teaching career.

For as long as I can recall, my curiosity to learn more propelled me to do my own research, so that I became informed enough to discuss such topics with my teachers throughout middle school, high school, and eventually college. Being able to speak candidly and intellectually with my teacher(s) brought me a feeling of accomplishment, satisfaction, and, of course, the desire to keep doing more. Keep doing more research. Keep bringing these lessons to light. Keep expressing my views.

At an old enough age, I became responsible enough to supervise young children giving up my Sunday mornings to being a Hebrew school teacher’s assistant, or madrich, for five years taught me what it is like to work with child
ren in a classroom setting.

In addition, I would spend my four summers at sleepaway camp as a bunk counselor supervising 10-15 campers at a time, to coaching lacrosse for boys and girls ages 7-17. Furthermore, these concepts of responsibility, leadership, and lesson planning have helped shape me into becoming the educator that I aspire to be.

I don't use templates or rubrics to guide my approach. The students I work with are not "customers", and my way of marketing myself is not a sales pitch.

When I notice a significant issue, I don't recommend more sessions in order to make more money. I re-access, then develop a more intensive approach. My goal is not to keep a student for as long as possible. My goal is to teach them how to become their own resource - so they can identify their weaknesses and know how to overcome them on their own.

About Steve
I've worked with more than 100 students of all ages and grade levels: Common Core, Elementary School, Adults returning to college, SAT, ACT, GED, CLEP, ASVAB - You name it, I've taught it.

I have a track record that proves that what I do works. I've helped a student with a learning disability and test anxiety pass exams they were completely hopeless about, an adult who hadn't touched a textbook in 30 years pass a CLEP exam, and I even had a student who failed math for years that now tutors math himself.
