Teaching conversation and translation at native and highest levels. I am a native speaker of the Russian language, a professional musician with perfect pitch and thus no accent in my speaking. I am also equally fluent in English and have been hosting radio programs spanning over 10 years. I have given talks in both languages internationally and have been published by Carol Publishing as well as Genet Publishing in newspapers, on line, in print both soft and hard cover available in Barns and Noble, Amazon and anywhere fine books are sold.
If you are learning to speak in the Russian language or if you are improving your skills, if you are a singer working on enunciation and the feeling of the language for writing, speaking or singing - you have come to the right place. My family of professional musicians have helped orchestras and choir in the production of Alexander Nevsky on the big screen in concert of the Eastman Theater that to this day continues to illicit fond memories ...

He created a welcoming environment in our online lessons that made it easy to be vulnerable and get right to working on new skills.

Joseph’s technical ‘short cuts’ are amazing! He illustrates ways for your hands and your mind to work that are tailor made for you. Learning from him is so fun it seems almost effortless.
The way Joseph teaches allows you to develop at your own pace. The atmosphere is always relaxed yet everything moves along quickly.
At the open classes I attend, his other students are progressing very rapidly too. After each class, we share our impressions. The mood is elated because it feels like we stepped back in time and into history.
Joseph often quotes inspired wisdom of his historic teachers in our lessons. He is a great inspiration on his own with great musical insights.
I’m playing Beethoven and Chopin works I never thought I could approach at this stage of study, with great depth of understanding. I now play with greater passion and skill, get compliments from everyone I play for, and no longer worry about playing in public.
I look forward to each and every lesson with Joseph. His encouragement and support makes learning so rewarding! Anyone who finds this musical treasure is a lucky person and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Привет! Russian is my first language and it has a very special place in my heart. I love it for its emotional charge and incredible poetic expression.
After many years of helping my friends who study classical voice, I found new interesting and simpler ways to teach this language.
Q.: Do you teach bi-weekly lessons?
A.: No, I do not give bi-weekly lessons, and require all of my students to take at least 4 lessons a month to be able to join my studio.
Q.: What happens if I miss a lesson?
A.: My studio policy is that all of my students are required to give me an at least 24-hour notice if they will be missing their lesson for any reason with the exception of illness or family emergencies. It is the student's responsibility to reschedule the lesson for the same week, or their lesson time will be charged in full. For illnesses and family emergencies I will require a doctor's note or a short letter explaining the reason behind their absence.
Q.: What if I have to ...

Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to introduce yourself and before you know it be a German whizz. I try to base my lessons around modern German pop culture typically using current events as inspiration. My lessons feature video links, audio, worksheets, textbooks, and more.
I offer different time options to suit your needs and am also happy to discuss group lessons if you wish to learn with your partner/family member/friend. Please reach out to discuss pricing options for those.
