Trained in Classical, Jazz and Musical Theatre her warm voice, playful attitude, and vibrant inner beauty come alive on the stage and in the classroom. With International and Cabaret influences, she performs and writes deeply from the heart, and is never afraid to pour out heart felt emotions on stage.
She has additionally studied Arts Administration at NYU and has also worked behind the scenes at the professional level in Arts Administration at Berklee College
World class venues include: Carnegie Hall, The Vatican, Notre Dame Cathedral, Palau de les artes de Regina Sofia, and Symphony Space. Liz has also performed with the Amore Opera, NY Lyric Opera and Regina Opera companies of New York City.

She has had the pleasure of Musical Directing with various inner city schools with young, at risk students including Inside Broadway, Brooklyn Arts Council, Mainstages, The Queens Theater, Long Lake Camp for the Arts, Berklee City Music Program, Boston Bridge Charter School, and St. Joseph's Regional Catholic School. Past shows she has musical directed have included Annie, Legally Blonde, The Wizard of Oz, Seussical, Oliver, Shrek, and Chicago. Liz also serves on the Berklee Alumni Audition Committee, and was recently named Berklee Alumni Ambassador of the Year. (2017)
Currently she is working on her original musical Ciao Bambino, which debuted it's first staged reading at the Midtown International Theater Festival in the Fall of 2016! At MITF Ciao Bambino was recognized with an award for Best Staged Reading. "Give me the stage" an original song from the musical also won first place in competitions at the Bunol Symphony Orchestra in Spain and Hampton Beach talent show in New Hampshire. Check out Ciao Bambino the musical to follow the development of this exciting new musical, as it's head Off-Off Broadway in 2018!

As a highly trained classical singer I have studied Italian for many years. Learn basic vocabulary and diction. These lessons can be especially tailored to singers.
If you choose to book through me here are the details of how our arrangement will
STUDENT EXPECTATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
1: Schedule 10-30 minutes of practice each day for at least five days per week.
2: Complete all assignments the teacher has written down on the assignment notebook. Practice steps are included verbally in the lesson, and on the lesson assignment notebook.
3: Arrive promptly at your lesson time. You reserve the time slot, not the number of minutes.
4: Treat the teacher, fellow students, and teacher’s home with integrity and respect.
5: If questions arise, be sure to ask your teacher during the lesson! The teacher wants you to understand all assignments and succeed!
6: Pianists’ fingernails should be kept trim. When playing with curved fingers, the nails should not click.
7: No gum, food, or drinks during lessons (water bottles are permitted).
8: Invest time thinking about what music selections you would most enjoy working on and be prepared to offer suggestions.
9: Bring assignment notebook and a folder with any hand-outs or lyric sheets to each lesson.
10: Singers are responsible for printing lyric sheets and bringing karaoke tracks (if desired).
12: Respond to any texts, e-mails, or phone calls from the teacher in a timely manner.
12: Please turn all cell phones to silent during the lesson.
PARENT/GUARDIAN EXPECTATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
1: Support the fulfillment of your child’s responsibilities by consistently bringing your child to lessons, rehearsals, and performances.
2: Remind your child of daily practice and help them to schedule this practice time in their daily routine.
3: Provide a practice environment that is free from interruptions (family, friends, TV, computer, or phone).
4: Communicate with the teacher about any questions or concerns you have. I want to meet your expectations, as well as your child’s, and I encourage feedback.
6: Provide an acceptable instrument for practice. Pianists: an acoustic piano is recommended, however, good electronic instruments that are full size, have a sustain pedal, and are capable of dynamics (the ability to control the volume of the sound through the touch of the performer) are also acceptable. Singers: a device for recording lessons (optional) and a keyboard, pitch pipe, or pitch pipe phone app.
7: Parents/guardians may sit-in on lessons only if they do not disturb them. Please, no talking at all. You may wait in the car or run an errand if you prefer. The teacher reserves the right to no longer allow a parent/guardian to sit in on a lesson should their behavior be deemed a habitual distraction for the student.
1: To provide a tailored curriculum to meet student’s individual needs and goals.
2: To develop each student’s overall musicality through a greater understanding of music theory, technique, and repertoire.
3: To clearly communicate short-term and long-term goals.
4: To encourage a feeling of success at each student’s individual rate of learning.
5: To report the student’s progress to the parent/guardian if applicable.
6: To listen to any concerns and answer any questions of the parent/guardian and student if applicable.
7: To devote the entire lesson time to the student. I am a stay-at-home mom and occasionally I may need to attend to my child. In the rare circumstance that your lesson is interrupted, I will offer you make-up time at the end of the lesson or at a time that is most convenient for you.
8: To encourage fun and creativity with music and enable the student to find ways to enjoy practice, lessons, and performances.
STUDENT CANCELLATIONS OR ABSENCES: If given 24 hours notice, I will allow for a makeup lesson or cancellation. If I am not notified within 24 hours a lesson credit will be used regardless of whether or not the student attends.
TEACHER ABSENCES: All lessons missed as a result of the teacher canceling will be made up at a convenient time or credited to the next lesson.
TUITION: Lesson credits must be purchased through TakeLessons.com before the scheduled lesson can be taught.
PERSONAL LIABILITY: The teacher is not responsible for any injuries, loss or theft occurring on the teacher’s personal property. Children should not be left at the studio/home unattended. The teacher cannot be held responsible for the safety of the student outside of their lesson time, or the safety of any family members/friends that may accompany the student to lessons.
STUDENT TERMINATION: Students and parents are permitted five initial lessons to decide if the lessons are a good student-teacher fit. If more lessons are purchase after the initial five lessons, lessons should be seen as an on-going commitment. If a student chooses to terminate lessons (after the introductory five-lesson period), the parent/guardian or adult student must inform the studio with a 30-day notice. The student is responsible for purchasing the last month’s lessons whether they choose to use the lesson credits or not.
TEACHER-INITIATED TERMINATION: Lessons may be terminated for unpaid tuition, for repeated missed lessons, or for consistently late or unreturned phone calls, texts, or e-mails. The teacher reserves the right to terminate lessons at her own discretion.

If you love the Italian culture and would like to learn how to speak Italian, I'm your girl!! I studied for 4 years in college and moved there for some time. I can help you with your hw and I can also help you, if you just want to learn some basic phrases to get around.
I also teach Italian, and have taught the language for 3 years in a private school. I lived in Italy for a while and I just love the language. If anyone needs a tutor, I can help!
I also teach art history, and art as far as drawing and painting. So if any parent wants for their child learn how to express themselves through painting or drawing, I can do that as well!!

She pinpoints exactly what I am doing wrong during my lesson and offers suggestions on how to correct it going forward. I appreciate that because if your instructor doesn't tell you, your audience will. And you might not like how they say it. I am there to go beyond just singing in the shower, and her constructive criticism only makes me better. She is also polite when she corrects you, she's not cracking the whip.
She focuses immediately on different techniques that will help you improve your voice so that you can PROGRESS, instead of just banging out scales on the piano lesson after lesson and overlooking mistakes a student may make like some instructors do. I hate to be this blunt, but there are some instructors I have met in the past who do just that (none of them are from takelessons) to me it shows a devotion to the art and a commitment to bringing out the best voice that you have she wants you to be as good as her! To me no one could ask for any more than that in a voice instructor. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a teacher.

Many Italian teachers are native speakers, but I earned my fluency just like you will- with study, practice, and immersion. I got my BA with Honors in Italian from Vassar College after studying for a semester at the Università di Bologna and completing my full-length musicological thesis on Italian Opera, written entirely in Italian.
As a non-native speaker, I had to learn the language inside and out. I already had to conquer every linguistical challenge that you will face on your journey with Italian, so I know how to teach the language in a way that English speakers like you can understand! I was born in Italy and lived there for 36 years. I went to school there and I have a Bachelor Degree from one of the oldest Universities in Europe, the University of Verona. Before college, I attended the Liceo Linguistico, where I extensively studied Italian Grammar in connection to Latin, French and German. I can honestly say I master the Italian grammar in all of its structures.
I have been working in Customer Service for an American Bank in Italy for the last 10 years. In addition to that, I have been tutoring students of different ages, Elementary School all the way to High School, since I was in college. The subjects I covered were for the most part English, Italian and Math. I was also tutoring adults who wanted to learn English as beginners or improve their conversation skills.
