About Brianna
Hi, I'm Bri! I'm a graduate of North Central College with a BA in Music (Emphasis in Composition and Percussion) and a minor in History. I absolutely love music, every single aspect of it. I love to make music a part of everybody's lives who want and need it. I want to help you with your musical needs. I have been playing percussion for 19 years, singing for 25, and playing piano for 20 years. I was a member of a recording and performing Chicago band, Oblio and Arrow, where I provided backing vocals and helped with the song arrangements. I am currently a member of Trip City Lights, an LA local funk/soul band, where I provide lead and backing vocals. I also record vocals for different artists hooks, jingles, choruses, and songs (covers and originals). I have also composed/arranged various pieces for ensembles, bands, vocal groups, choirs,
plays, musicals, commercials, etc. I've worked with folks locally in LA, and all over the world. I love what I do!

History has always fascinated me. The way our world has developed and changed and continues to evolve is amazing. Everything can be tied back to the past, and I feel it's important to take a look back, put yourself in that time, and really study how things were to help understand why things are the way they are now.

Crocheting and knitting are a couple of good habits/hobbies I picked up about 10 years ago. I sell scarves online and I'm always working on some sort of project. I will have you knitting and pearling with the best of them!

Music, history, crochet, and knitting....I'm your girl!

About Austin
Hello! My name is Austin, and my personal life motto is: doing my best to help others realize and reach their best! I have been teaching a number of topics ranging from music, fitness, to technology, writing, and religious texts for over 7 years. Over these years, I have also worked a myriad of jobs to receive invaluable experience as well as learn how to interact with all kinds of people.

It has always been my deep passion and true joy to journey along with someone who is simply willing to learn the many gifts that life has for us to enjoy! I am currently studying for my masters at Western Seminary, interning at a church in Milpitas, and a certified teacher here at TakeLessons.

Time and time again, I have come to realize that life is about serving, teaching, and loving others with what we already have; teaching is such a simple y
et profound way to practice this!

I look forward to doing my best in order to help you realize, reach, and ultimately relish your best!

About Beatrice
I have over 20 years’ experience. I have been working for major fashion brands companies in NYC. I am experienced with working with beginners, intermediate and all levels. I am offering industry level sewing classes and pattern correcting and altering techniques that will cater to your needs. I will be able to teach foundation skills of how to operate a sewing machine, how to use a serger or how to use an industrial sewing machine. I will also teach how to hand sew, follow and understand a pattern and how to finish your work beautifully. I am also going to work with you on your own personal projects.
I teach hands on beginner’s patternmaking and sewing skills that you will need for garment production, arts and crafts and any project that involves sewing. For instance: I can help you make pillows, bags, aprons, stuffed toys and other hou
sehold items. If you want to make clothing, I will guide you through using a published pattern.
I will work closely with you to make sure you understand the project and to make sure you properly construct a quality finished project.
I have been sewing since I was in 3rd grade and was making doll clothes for my Barbie dolls and clothes for myself by the time I was in 9th grade. I also used to work closely with a Tailor/dressmaker as an apprentice during my summer holidays in 10th grade.

Students are expected to provide all tools and materials.

Recommended duration is 2 hours.

About Kathy
I’m Kathy and I am a professional artist in San Francisco! I received my Masters of Fine Arts and the San Francisco Art Institute and my Bachelors degree at Skidmore College. I make painting and textile-based 3D installations and have shown widely in the Bay Area, New York, and Chicago. I was a 2016 Artist-In-Residence at Recology and a 2017 Artist-In-Residence at the Lucid Art Foundation. I also have some exciting opportunities on the horizon! I’m passionate about arts education, interdisciplinary thinking, art history, ecological stewardship, and color theory. I love teaching art!

I’ve taught a variety of ages and skill levels and care about each student as an individual artist and human being. I design individualized lesson plans for each student with creative, engaging assignments that focus on both technical skill and personal exp
ression. I love helping my students learn and grow as artists.

I’m passionate about art history and color theory. In our lessons, not only will you learn how to draw and paint, you will also learn the cultural history around the subject. I will show you historical and contemporary examples of artwork that fit thematically with our lessons. We will have engaging conversations about art while we draw and paint. I can also point you towards art openings happening around the Bay Area.

My personal teaching style is patient, constructive, and encouraging. With practice and hard work, I can help you achieve your goals.

Other things I love include: Spending time in the Great Outdoors, listening to Billie Holiday, and cooking elaborate meals!

About Kaitlyn
I believe that students learn to their greatest degree from an indivualized approach that best fits their personality and preferred learning style. The study of the zodiac and Astrology is a subject that isn't offered just anywhere. Learning how the planets affect one'a daily life can be super enlightening; it changed my entire perspective on people and life in general, in a positive way. I strive to help others improve their lives in the same way. Astrology is the key to tapping into one's unconscious mind and finding a greater understanding of one's personality and/or life. Know yourself! Take some lessons with me, and have your mind blown!!
