I have a teaching experience of ESL of more than 24 years in Cuba. I have taught in colleges, for students with different academic interests, and for graduates who wanted to improve their proficiency in this language. I have also trained teachers of ESL at the language school where I worked.

In my teaching I use a communicative approach with meaningful exchanges but with a solid foundation of the formal aspects of the language too, so that students can move forward safely. I pay attention to individual differences so that each student can progress at his/her own pace with ease.

At intermediate and advanced levels I always favor the use of meaningful discussions and debate about updated issues, so that students learn how to express their opinions and ideas properly in different contexts.

I believe in creating a friendly atmosphere with meaningful human exchanges throughout my lessons.

I am a certified TEFL instructor & I've taught over 2400+ hours online teaching experience, and taught 2000+ students over 7000 online lessons. In addition I have over 16 years of Corporate Management experience in the US and Canada and have conducted thousands of interviews in my career. I will always be a life-long student of business and economics.

I am a native English speaker with an American English accent and I am happy to help you prepare for an interview, practice general conversation, or talk about any subject that you would like more vocabulary and practice in.

I work primarily with business professionals, undergraduate university, and graduate students who need to improve their American English accent, vocabulary and daily conversational English. I work best with Intermediate and Advanced students but also work with Beginners. I have extensive experience working with all types of students, from children to adults to business professionals. I have taught students of all levels. I taught group classes as well as one-on-one classes. I tend to tailor each class to the needs of my students. With kids, I make sure that the classes are interactive, energetic, and fun. I also tend to use a lot of TPR in order to clearly demonstrate what I want the students to learn. I also prepared students for important exams such as FIRST, PET, and IELTS. With business professionals, I tend to focus on their goals. For this reason, I make sure to incorporate a lot of business vocabulary, idioms, and presentation skills. I also speak three languages, including Russian and Spanish.
