I can provide you with constructive critique as you progress in your work. This also helps motivate students to take a step back and objectively look at where they are now and how far they have come with their work. As a person who is constantly evolving as an artist myself, it is important to bounce ideas off of others to help you improve and get a better understanding on how to develop your own style with your art.
I enjoy the impact art of any kind has on society and others. Art can be used to communicate many things and in many different forms. Also art is subjective and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Not everyone will love your art expression but it is important that you're passionate about your work.
I enjoy learning through interactions with others and the way they perceive their surroundings. My passion for art started when I was very young.
Currently I am the author and illustrator and designer behind a brand of children's products. My background ...

I can cover just the photo/camera end for you. And, or, can teach you the digital computer skills you need to bring you images to the next level.
I will teach you how to reveal your own photographic "eye". That is, now to use the camera as an extension of your expression, how to take what you see, and put inside a frame.
I teach photography concepts from the art form, and from basic through advanced technical and aesthetic.
You will learn how a camera lens is much much more than just a zoom closer/farther tool for your scene. The lens you choose is vital towards helping you achieve the vision you are bringing to your work. Camera exposure is similar.
I will also teach you how to "see" your scene or subject as "values" of shades of black, white, and the grays between. This ...
I can't wait to work with you! I am passionate about the subjects I teach, and find nothing can compare to seeing a student "get it", so they may too enjoy the passion that comes from learning and doing something they love. Everything I teach I've learned most completely by doing as a Profession

I am a classically trained artist and I teach traditional methods of representational drawing. I’ve taught at several local ateliers as well as internationally through the State Department’s Art In The Embassies program. I can help you learn about perspective, line, volume, and composition in an a way that is easy to understand. My teaching style is rich with experience and information but also very low key and unintimidating. Also— I’m really fun! Come draw with me!
Hello! I moved to Brooklyn fifteen years ago to get my MFA at Pratt Institute; I've been a professional fine artist for my entire adult life and have shown my work extensively in and around New York. I have taught traditional oil painting at local ateliers and I also teach plein air workshops in th

Have you always been interested in making art, but have been too intimidated or overwhelmed to try? Or maybe you’ve been making art for years, but are itching to take your work to the next level. Are you looking to strengthen your portfolio, perhaps for college or an artistic career? Regardless of what level you’re at, I’m ready to collaborate with you and create a lesson plan tailored to your (or your child’s) unique goals. Anyone can learn how to draw! It only takes practice, dedication, and patience.
In our lessons, we will strengthen your understanding of technical aspects like line, movement, value, composition, texture, weight, and shape language, by drawing from observation (both from life/in person and photo/video reference). Those that like drawing in a more stylized way (more cartoony than realistic) will learn how to apply their observational studies to their stylized work. Remember, even cartoons are based off of real life!
Supplies will depend on your own artistic goals
