I teach piano in the same manner in which I teach every instrument. First I teach students the rudiments of the instrument. Also I teach them how to read and a bit of music theory. From that point I like to follow the students lead. They bring in songs that they would like to learn, or possibly how to play a certain style like Funk, or Blues, or how to approach a classical sonata. At every point I try to point out general aspects of music that need to be learned from the material that they choose.

My grandson is taking piano lessons from Rosalind H. At first I was wondering about the interaction because he's shy; but he looks forward to his lessons and practices diligently. I'm sure it's because of Rosalind's experience and teaching techniques that makes it so enjoyable for him; she's very good with children. I'm so glad she was available!"

I am an older student and I was very self conscious and nervous. Edward makes me feel welcome and is patient and extremely helpful to me in making me feel comfortable playing the piano. I have learned more from him than any other piano teacher I have ever had. It is a joy to come to my lessons and learn from Edward. He is knowledgeable and is teaching me more advanced piano. I am so glad to be working with Edward and playing piano again and enjoying it. Thank you Edward!"

He took the time to assess where to start the lessons. He reinforces the student and is very patient"
