I am available to help reduce accents of students from any country. Hour sessions are available but count as two 30 minute sessions back to back.

The key to reducing your accent is a sensitive, objective hearing. We hear what we project from our minds. Very often it is not the same as what comes out of our mouths. The listener is also a judge that effects our speaking and thinking as well as our emotional state. That as you may know, effects the way we speak and also the way we perceive what we hear. The accent actually changes every day.

There is your first lesson and its free! There is much more to learn and to explore in accent reduction. I speak multiple languages and I am a professional musician with an unusually refined hearing. I possess perfect pitch, being able to identify frequency to within a range of a tuning instrument. As a conductor, I am able to hear which section and which instrument in that section is sharp or flat on a given note in the middle of playing a symphonic work.

10-Hour Course will prepare you to keep improving on your own and will improve at least 3-4 critical sounds/vowels/consonants that you struggle with the most. Liaisons and the schwa sound - most people have no idea about these, but you will learn what they are and how to sound more like a native speaker if you use them both correctly.

My name is Jenny, and I am an American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) certified and Illinois-state licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) (also known as a speech therapist) with a Master's degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences from the State University of New York at Buffalo. I graduated with a 3.93/4.0 GPA while completing an elective Master's thesis. I've been a speech therapist since 2012, and one of my career areas of specialty is speech, which makes me well qualified to help you in your path to accent reduction. I am certified in the Compton Pronouncing English as a Second Language (P-ESL) Program, a program created by Dr. Arthur J. Compton, and utilize this program and my years of experience as a speech-language pathologist to create your individualized accent reduction program.
