Had my first lesson with Jerry and though we had some technology issues I truly enjoyed his teaching and thoroughness of instruction. I wanted a professional trumpet player and experienced teacher and Jerry is really meeting my expectations. I’m truly looking forward to working with him each week. Also, his follow up after the lesson was outstanding.

My daughter has been taking lessons with Brandon at the School of Rock in Madison for 4 years . Brandon was the musical director of several performance camps , where the kids participating would learn songs and perform them live in front of an audience after 4 months of intense practices .
Brandon is a great teacher , very good with kids . He was instrumental in helping my daughter become a professional musician , overcome her shyness on stage and taught her the value of hard work, perseverance , and working as a team . I cannot say enough about Brandon’s abilities . He is fantastic !

Our twelve year old son has been taking lessons with Brandon for two years. We have watched our son's progression as a musician and we are so grateful to Brandon for all of his hard work and dedication. The rapport that Brandon has established with our son is remarkable. He really has a positive way of reaching his students and creating trust. Brandon relates well to his students and really makes learning fun. He motivates our son to meet and exceed his goals. We could not wish for a better instructor for our son. We highly recommend Brandon T. as a music instructor.

My son Cooper, now 13, began lessons with Brandon 2 1/2 years ago. He had never held a set of drumsticks but was interested in playing. Brandons ‘ease in’ make-it-fun approach is a complete winning combination for the student. Brandons ability to also read the student and know when to challenge them has been a key success factor for my son.

Who I have now is a 13 year old boy who practices 2 hours a day minimum, a passion for all things drum related, growing proficiency in theory and varying styles of music and most importantly a young confident musician who regularly plays in front of dozens if not hundreds of people.

I couldn’t have hand picked a better instructor for my kid....

About Peter

I am a professional guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer. I graduated from the Purchase College Conservatory of Music with a Bachelors in classical guitar performance. I am currently working on a Masters degree in film scoring at the Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema in Brooklyn New York.

I've been writing my own music since the age of 12. I've recorded and released several albums with different groups along the way and will continue recording and performing music as long as I live.

I've performed with bands all over New York as well as New Jersey, Boston, and Maine. I've played in original bands, cover bands, jazz combos, big bands, pit orchestras, and solo shows.

I've been teaching for 12 years and in that time have had students who came to me as beginners become professionals and teachers themselves. I've worked wit

h students on becoming better players in specifics styles such as jazz, blues, classical, and rock/pop.

Some of my biggest influences are Pat Metheny, Steve Howe, Juliam Bream, David Russel, Jeff Beck and many more.

I started with Peter when I was 13 years old and continued taking weekly lessons until I was 19. In those 7 years Peter helped take my playing from an intermediate level to a near expert level. Our weekly meetings ranged from just learning new songs, music theory, or just jamming over backing tracks we would create. Peter is knowledgable in every form of music. In our years of lessons we enjoyed playing classic rock, blues, jazz, classical, and gypsy jazz. Peter was able to walk me teach me through the beginning levels of Music Theory.

Most importantly through our 7 years together, became was able to take me from a very shy musician to someone who was very confident on stage playing at different bars. Peter went from being a teacher to a very close friend as he helped me grow. Although I do not take lessons with him anymore due to being away at college, I keep in touch with Peter every time I am home.

I would highly recommend Peter to anyone at any level guitar playing. He has the patience someone needs if you're just starting out and the expertise to help take even some of the best players to the next level.

About Lynne

I am a professional pianist and started taking lessons at age 4. I'm a graduate of ORU in Tulsa, OK and SUNY in Stonybrook where I received my B.S. and M.A. degrees. I'm a retired NYS Certified Elementary Teacher and taught Elementary Music K - 3 Kindergarten, and Fifth grade in both public and private schools. I was a homeschool mom of my 5 children who are now grown-up with successful careers and families of their own. I've also published 4 children's books. My passion is to inspire and help children to discover their musical gifts, talents, and purpose so they can eventually step into their destiny.

I've taught piano lessons for 25+ years and my students have always enjoyed learning as I've customized my lessons to meet each one's needs. Many of my past students are now in musical careers. My classical students are evaluated at NYS

SMA each year and get excellent evaluations. I also teach popular and church worship music. I specialize in the development of sight reading, ear training, rhythm, scales, chords, theory, dynamics, and technique. My lessons are fun and inspire creativity while developing confidence and self-esteem. I enjoy encouraging my students to take my challenge to just be themselves, and know they are already accepted and approved of. Music has also proven to be a great source of support for students with learning challenges and special needs.

Parents of children are welcome and expected to stay with students for the duration of lesson time. I will see you in my private studio. I look forward to meeting you and getting started with our musical journey together!

"I have never sung in public but it was always a dream of mine to be able to sing a solo in front of my family and friends for the holidays. I heard about
Ms. Lydia through friends and asked her to teach me to sing. She gave me a free consultation to determine what my needs were and then set up a plan to help me reach my goals through the lessons that she gave me. Fast forward to last Christmas, I surprised my family by singing a ton of Christmas favorites and I am preparing to do the same this year. Thank you Ms. Lydia"
