I have studied and traveled in Mexico and Spain. My hometown and Bay Area history are full of Spanish speakers, a great way to put my language skills to use. My students have improved their grades and found joy in learning a new language. I hope my practically-minded method will appeal to you. I have written and spoken extensively in Spanish. Poetry, research papers, music . . . Thanks for your interest, and please do not hesitate to contact me for more information. I hope to be able to meet your educational needs. Thank you.
I began to teach guitar at 16 years of age. I have taught seven- to 60-year-old students in a wide variety of styles. I studied jazz guitar primarily with Randy Vincent, one of the San Francisco Bay Area's greatest guitar players, and continue to broaden my horizons under the guidance of Matthew Grasso. Aside from teaching, I compose, perform, and research in Music and Language Arts.
Lars is an awesome instructor. Very knowledgeable and also very articulate with his instructions. I highly recommend him. I am an absolute beginner and yet he was able to share so much in the very first lesson itself! He also makes learning fun.
I have been teaching Spanish for over 10 years in universities (SDSU and Georgetown), private schools and through private lessons, and my students have gone on to develop a deep love of Spanish culture, study abroad in Latin America, and more! It is important for me to get to know my students and their goals so that I can adapt my lessons to their pace and needs. I love working with students of all experience levels and ...espero contar con su presencia! I am currently just accepting students for long commitment with the lessons.

I've been teaching Spanish since 2007 and have loved helping my students to reach their goals whether that was getting ready for a test, learning their ancestors language or getting fluent for their next job destination. I went to San Diego State University and earned a Master's program in Spanish linguistics. I also pursued a second Masters in Spain (my home country) in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language. I'm a motivated and dynamic teacher who has learnt that all students can learn a second language if they are challenged and encouraged. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

I have been working with Ana for six months and could not speak more highly of her ability as a teacher. She is extremely organized so not a single minute of the hour session goes wasted. She is a very patient teacher and explains grammar in a way that's easy to understand and remember. She also selects interesting content, including stories and news articles, so homework never felt like a chore! It was my first experience with taking a class via Skype so I was somewhat skeptical of the format initially, but it works extremely well and I feel like I got so much out of my weekly sessions. I highly recommend Ana to anyone who wants to improve their Spanish level quickly!

As a native speaker i will be an example of what life is like in Sout America and evaluate from a native perspective.

It took the love of another language to help me appreciate my own, and later, to appreciate the beauty of learning. As an educator, I care about more than just a passing grade; my goal is to see you succeed beyond your wildest expectations!
MORE ABOUT ME I earned a Master's degree in Spanish from the University of North Texas, where I gained substantial experience as a graduate teaching fellow and teaching assistant. I've also worked at the Wichita Falls ISD as a Substitute Teacher and an English as a Second Language (ESL) Tutor, and at Vernon College as the Tutoring Center Coordinator. I am currently a Spanish teacher at Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet Center in Dallas. In these professions, I've gained a wealth of experience in working with elementary to college-age students, and I would love to have the opportunity to show you how
As a fervent learner of Spanish since 2007, I have developed a sincere heart & successful process for teaching this language. I am super passionate seeing my students have that "aha" moment! I love engaging with my students with personalized lessons, that I adapt from a specific curriculum (Puntos de Partido) and then tweak it to meet your particular needs. All ages that I've taught have benefited from my animated and motivating approach. Come learn & speak Spanish with me!
Want to learn to speak Spanish? Sign ASL? I would love to be a part of your journey! I am a patient, and friendly person, who is passionate about language learning!
SPANISH: I use my own personal learning experience mixed with a communicative approach to create a teaching method for my Spanish students. My Spanish teaching method focuses on the development of these four skills: speaking, listening, reading, and then writing. Do you have specific goals? Great! Or are you learning just to be able to speak any and all that you can? Awesome! I teach beginner and intermediate and am a conversation partner and tutor for students more advanced! Also be prepared to be challenged to get involved with the Latin American culture around you!
ASL: My lessons will give you a strong foundation in Sign, and then a few training wheels until you fee
l confident in what you know, and can converse about various real-life topics. My teaching method utilizes much of Deaf professor Dr. Bill Vicars' approach--with signed conversation in each lesson beginning with high frequency concepts. Each lesson is full of new signs, grammar, conversation, Deaf culture tidbits, and more.
About me: I fell in love with language when in 2010 I lived, studied, and worked abroad in Colombia, South America. There I studied Spanish, worked with Deaf students, and taught Spanish speakers English. It was such an enriching experience that upon returning to the USA, I decided to fully surround myself with culturally diverse individuals and continue my learning journey.
One of the major differences between learning a language in a classroom and having a personal instructor is that one-on-one help you will receive --- specific to your level, learning style, and language goals. I will help you stop feeling nervous, renew your motivation, and get you communicating in a new language in no time!!
First lesson was great! Joy is very knowledgeable and tailored the class to the pace needed for me. I look forward to continuing to learn from her.

Joy accurately assessed our daughter’s abilities and catered each lesson to engage, as well as challenge her. Our daughter enjoyed her online sessions, where she not only gained conversation experience, but also expanded her vocabulary and conjugational skills. She will be starting this school year with greater confidence in her Spanish class. Thank you so much for all your help, Joy, and we look forward to more lessons with you!
I’ve taught many people how to speak Spanish. I find that the easiest way to learn is by simply taking words one by one and teaching it to the student as a slang almost and having them speak normal English but I’ll have them replace words out with Spanish words. This process makes it easy for you to learn Spanish quickly and soon quickly forming sentence. We will go over double meanings and pronunciation, grammar, etc.
Hi my name is Rosandy. I am 20 years old and I am a social media marketer. I’ve been modeling since I was 11 years old so I’ve been fortunate enough to learn about makeup pretty much my entire life. I know most things beauty related and I love helping people be great. I ALSO am Hispanic and speak both English and Spanish and can help teach Spanish as well. 😄

I am a professional writer and teacher of English and Spanish. I graduated from University of California, Davis, with a degree in Political Science and Economics.
I just finished a year and a half service in the PeaceCorps teaching both English and Spanish in the Dominican Republic. I taught advanced grammar lessons to native Spanish speakers. I, also, taught basic english (and a bit of advanced english) to all ages.
My service taught me how to care for a student's needs and the patience to show how each sentence needs to be grammatically structured. I love teaching both languages through conversation as it is the most natural way of learning how to speak a different language.
I have a passion for teaching languages and I hope you will highly consider me as a spanish/english instructor!

Jonah really taught me a lot. He was very understanding of my learning disabilities (I have dyslexia.) He's knowledgeable about Spanish, and has a proven track record with Spanish grammar and vocabulary. With Jonah's help I was able to pass my high school Spanish class with flying colors.
