SCHEDULE NOTE: This is a very busy time of year for me. My availability is quite limited, so please check with me prior to scheduling. I have set the automatic calendar very tightly so please ask if there's a specific date and time not listed that you're interested in booking. END OF NOTE
Hello from Seattle! I love teaching! For more than 40 years and I have been a professional photographer. I was the Team Photographer for the Washington Stealth pro indoor lacrosse team for three years, and teach photography at the Pacific Science Center, the Bellevue Club, The Leica Store, Glazer's Camera, Omega Photo and other locations. I have shot professionally since I was 15. My photos have been published in several magazines and I have three photos published in the New York Times. I was the mission photographer for the first private spaceflight
- Space Ship One, and the first ocean plastic cleanup system. I have experience shooting dozens of cameras from nearly every manufacturer. I often write camera, software and lens reviews for online sites. I am also a former employee of Apple in their advertising department.
I love teaching:
~ Photography 101, Basic Photography How To's ~ Learning How to Really Use Your Camera (Nikon, Canon, Sony, Leica, Panasonic, Olympus and more) ~ How to pick and use the right lenses for the task ~ Photos for your Online Store: Table Top Photography ~ Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop ~ Photo Processing, Editing, Storage ~ Basic Portrait Lighting ~ Travel Photography including making travel books ~ Black & White Photos from your Color Photos ~ Sports Photography ~ Printing Fine Art Photos ~ Color Management ~ Mac computer setup and optimization for photography
and other topics that may be of interest to you. I especially love doing a portfolio review with you where I give you honest critique and suggestions on how to improve your existing photos and think about elevating your new photos.
I like to start with new students by talking on the phone or emailing before our first lesson to get a good sense of your experience and your goals in getting more instruction in photography. I do not charge for this initial conversation once you have registered and scheduled your first lesson package.
Three of my students have gone from amateur to professional and are selling their work.
I am married (28 years!) and I have two boys - one in high school and one graduating college. I have several students in their early teens - I love teaching them because they're so motivated and unafraid of the technology.
We can do lessons together online using Zoom - we can see each other, hear each other, share screens and I can show you step by step how to do everything we cover! Zoom conferencing is free, there's nothing to buy, so it's included in my lesson prices. My students love our online sessions - we go at your pace and answer all the questions you have. My students range in age from 11 to 80.
I am most proud of this comment from one of my students: "There is a difference between teaching and mentoring. While the terms seem similar they are distinct in their approach to the recipient. Brad is innately both with the lessons I participated in. He is a teacher and a mentor.
He taught me but he also "brought me along". On one hand, he gave me excellent raw knowledge and technique but still, on the opposite side of the coin, gave constant reality-based feedback and pushed me without hurting my enthusiasm. He told me about his successes and shortcomings "once upon a time ago" and I didn't see him as infallible as many instructors want you to, I saw him as having lived a path, scouted it, and coming back to help show me the way. He didn't just tell me where I was going wrong, he showed me, then showed me how to correct it, then guided me through the process of correcting it, then followed up. Who could ask for more than that?
Brad is the total package when it comes to instruction. I am a better photographer for having studied with him. I am also making my dreams come true as a businessman. I owe most of that to him. I look forward to my next lessons, but honestly I more so look forward to what is behind the doors he will inevitably open up for me."
I'm Jose, Drumming is my passion. I've been drumming all my life with experience in jazz band, drumline and a few bands with consistent gigs. I'm from Venezuela so I'm fluent in spanish. Let me know if you have any questions
My son is now even more eager to learn since his first lesson with Jose. Everything went great!
August 12, 2016
This is my fifth lesson with Jose. In that time he showed me how to read, write drum notation/score, play fills, and tightened up my overall playing. I am very pleased with my sound and I can't wait to learn more.

I love Junia's teaching style, she is very thorough and helps you understand why you are doing and saying what! I have learned so much during the few online live classes that I have taken with her. I've tried other instructors as well but her sessions are best for me! You can tell she has the heart and passion for truly helping others succeed. She motivates me to do better!
I am a native Spanish speaker originally from Argentina, but I have lived abroad for the last 20 years. I have a Bachelor of Education from Melbourne University and a TEFL certificate from ITTT and I have been teaching for 10 years: 4 in China, 1 in Japan, 1 in Korea, 1 in Thailand, 1 in Taiwan and 2 in South America. 6 of them at private schools, 2 at public schools and 2 as a private tutor. I speak and teach only neutral Spanish without any accent or slang.
My primary teaching method is space repetition and I supplement it with a lot of role plays, improvisation activities, and a student-centered approach, making sure that the teacher talking time is reduced to 20% of the of the class time, so the student is the one who gets the chance to speak at least 80% of the time.
The technique I use, (spaced repetition) it’s not fun but it
works, I know because I have used it to teach myself Italian, German, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. I have several courses, like the one for travelers, where we learn everything we need to know to get by in South America or Spain: How to introduce ourselves, the numbers, how to ask for prices and buying things. Asking for directions, checking into a hotel, ordering a meal at a restaurant, taking a bus or taxi, and much more. Feel free to Google my name: "Bruno Maiorana" for more info about me and my projects :)
Hi! I'm a statistics/Excel tutor with experience in AP, undergrad, MBA, and calc-based statistics. I know statistics can be unintuitive, and I'll work with you to reach your goals. I'll explain concepts and questions in coursework using relevant examples and plain English.
I'm available for long term tutoring as well as immediate assistance. I'm also used to teaching/drawing diagrams on online platforms, and can guide you through the process.
I’m a graduate from Cornell University and a former Accenture statistical analytics consultant. I received my Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Operations Research.
While at Accenture, I’ve taught clients introductory statistics to give them the tools to understand business data. I enjoy teaching Math, Statistics, and general digital marketing/statistics. I also have experien
ce in statistical data mining and script programming using R.
I’m passionate about making sure my students are equipped with a deeper understanding of seemingly difficult topics. I like using a combination of visuals and situations relatable to a students’ interests. In my experience, abstract topics like Statistics tend to be easier to understand when people visualize a concept on paper or online.
In my spare time, I follow the NBA and NFL. I’m also a semi-professional hip hop dancer.
Hey you! I know programming can seem really difficult or scary, I was there too not so long ago. It doesn’t have to be if you are willing and able to ask for help and, YOU are here so YOU are able to break down those mental barriers. We all can understand most concepts if they are broken down for us enough that we can follow the process at hand!
During our sessions together, we will use my palm-sized-globe (PSG) strategy to learn each new concept. With this strategy, any aspect that isn't crystal clear to you, we will stop, and I encourage you to stop me at any time, rotate the globe, and I will offer you an explanation of the concept from another perspective.
Whether you want to improve your coding skills, learn how to automate processes, get into a coding bootcamp, deal with large data sets, create websites to build up your portfolio
, or ace your classes, I will be there to help you succeed.
My objectives are focused on you, your education, your future and your career and because I take that very seriously, I prefer to give you a free consultation (up to 30 min) to help you decide if we are going to be the right fit for each other. I am truly excited to speak with you and can’t wait to get started working with you to achieve your goals!
Casey is an excellent tutor!!! We are very pleased with him!!! He knows Python very well and can teach very well. We are very fortunate.
February 25, 2019
Casey is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and able to break down concepts into easy-to-understand language. In addition to teaching the general steps to writing code, he is able to present real-world applications in a wide variety of scientific disciplines for each example.
I highly recommend Casey for teaching Python, and programming in general.
I teach like how I'd like to be taught: I move at my students' pace, make concepts easy to understand, make learning fun, build confidence and help create a sense of personal satisfaction at mastering exactly what you need to master.
I'm considered an Excel guru because I love Excel and I love to learn and grow. I have many years' experience teaching and training people of all ages and I can't wait to help you!

Barry was extremely knowledgeable and thorough in his Excel lesson and showed us many helpful ways to use Excel so that it can benefit me in and outside of work. He provided many examples and gave us each an opportunity to follow along with him during his lesson.
Interested students can expect to improve week to week in their coding techniques while studying computing skills and programming concepts with me. Every child is unique. Only you have to trust yourself as I do. I teach students to help them build up their own logical thoughts and apply them in order to unlock new skills and techniques. I can help any student to go ahead with their interest in technology with confidence, expression and attitude.
