About Michael
As a recent graduate of the Conservatory of Music at SUNY Purchase, I have been a performing classical pianist for nearly 20 years. I hold a Masters Degree in Piano Performance, and have had the great advantage of studying with many of today's top classical musicians, including Steven Lubin, Stephanie Brown, Paul Ostrovsky, Julia Lichten, and Stuart Isacoff. I've won many top prizes in competitions and have performed extensively throughout New York State. I'm very lucky to have had the opportunity to perform for the Governor, and both NYS Senators.

Having taught music since the age of 15, I am also an experienced and motivated teacher. Nothing excites me more than sharing my love and knowledge of music with others. Whether you are looking to boost your NYSSMA score, and compete in competitions, or are just starting out, I can tailor
lessons to your specific level and musical interests. Being in my 20's, I have a great rapport with children, and adults alike.

Years ago I took Guitar Lessons at a local music store ( a very prominent one) as a raw beginner and quickly became frustrated with my lack of progress. Although my teacher was a great player and "very hot" to look at I soon began to feel like I was merely his "practice dummy."... I'd play the chords he showed me, endlessly,... while he seemed to be just practicing his solo playing. ... I then tried On-Line Lessons from various sites which were actually even less helpful and soon just lost interest completely.
A friend of mine said she had taken lessons from a Don DeBold for about 5 years before going off to college and highly recommended him.
I've now been taking lessons from Don for almost 2 years and having a blast ! I've learned how to play along with most of my favorite songs (mainly Blues and Rock) and now I'm learning to play Solo Guitar that needs no accompaniment !
Unlike my first teacher, during many lessons Don barely plays or even has his Strat on his lap because he's busy concentrating on what I'm doing !
He's a stickler yet lots of fun at the same time> I super recommend him as a Guitar and Music Teacher !!! Aneiah J.

About Britta
My name is Britta, and I love piano and teaching! Music has brought great joy to my life, and it all started with the piano. I am eager to share that joy and power with you.

I started playing piano before I can remember and began lessons at age 5. I studied under my phenomenal teacher in Minnesota until I moved away when I was 18. I continued playing duets and quartets at her studio anytime I was back in Minnesota. I spent a few years living abroad and at college in Chicago. I taught first graders for a year at LEARN Excel Charter School in Chicago. Now Iโ€™ve relocated to Round Lake Beach, where I have a beautiful 80-year-old baby grand piano and a peaceful in-home studio.

When it comes to music, I think it's important to stay relaxed, push yourself, and have fun. Learning to play an instrument like the piano can be a very rich and
transformative experience for anyone. Whatever it is you're looking for in learning piano, I'm eager to help and share the gifts my teacher gave me.

I love working with my students. Watching them succeed at what they do is what makes my day great. I always love to have a fun atmosphere around me and enjoy every minute it. Music is great for self expression a great Escape or an easy pass-time. It's nothing that should be stressful, but the opposite and that is what my lessons aim to do. My son takes piano from Amber and I cannot say enough on how talented she is. She has so much patience and cares about her students. He responds well to her and is learning so quickly! She challenges him to continue to grow but does it in a way that is fun for a child his age. We think she is great!

Hello! I'm Mo! I love teaching violin and I try to make each lesson new and unique so that you are looking forward to the next one. There are so many aspects about playing violin that I like to talk about, show, and use examples from everyday life, such as finding rhythm in household appliances to finding pitch and harmony in birds.

I also like to prepare duets to play with my students, have some classical music listening sessions and to always bring students closer to the mentality of a performer while reminding my students what music means to everyone and why we play music.
