My goal as a teacher is to make students successful in their goals. I work with a variety of people; some of them study music for personal enjoyment and others for their musical career. Everyone responds differently to music, that is why I prepare special lessons for each student. It is important that my students enjoy what they are playing and for that reason I have a variety of repertoire that they can choose from.
From a lot of experience with beginner piano students, both young and adults, I have been able to find a regimen of piano teaching that combines time efficiency with fun. As the lessons continue, I slowly add new tools to each weekly lesson that are exiting and interesting. While working with intermediate to advanced students, I have had coached them to apply and get accepted into some of the top Universities and Conservatories in the country. My students, beginner intermediate and advanced levels, have been awarded for their performances and activities in schools and ...

My students, after the first year, have been able to write string quartets and piano trios. My advanced students have entered competitions all over the country and are very successful in their composition practice. Some of their compositions have been performed in famous concert halls and schools.
As a vocal coach, I work with students of all ages. The repertoire that I recommend to beginner students includes Disney, Broadway and classical music. For intermediate and advanced vocal student, I have successfully prepared them for competitions, Broadway and University auditions as well as personal enjoyment.
Most recently I held a piano, composition and vocal recital for my students at the world famous Steinway Hall in New York City. I believe that some students work better when there is motivation for performance activities. For that reason I host these type of events. Students that decide they want to take place in these events perform among all levels. I offer these performance opportunities as an invitation. Each student has a choice as to whether they would like to perform.

My son thoroughly loved his lessons with Aaron. Aaron spoke to him a respectful and sensitive way while challenging him to push farther than he ever did in his school band class. We are only stopping lessons because we are going on vacation and will not be back until the new school year has begun. With a new school and an new schedule, I am hoping to be able to continue lessons with Aaron in the future.

As an instructor Aaron is outstanding. He's professional and has impressive attributes being a UCLA grad and participating member of the armed forces; but more so, he's encouraging to his students and in our son - he positively encouraged a passion for the trumpet and a high regard for music in general.

Learn music theory, sight reading and composition through the piano to build a strong foundation to carry with you to any musical instrument!

About Diana
Diana is a classical guitarist and pianist originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico. In addition to guitar and piano, she teaches voice, ukulele and songwriting in New York City, where she now resides. She spent the better part of a decade studying closely with two mentors: celebrated classical guitarist Lynn McGrath, and revered pianist Stephen Montoya. As a high school student, Diana regularly performed in recitals and participated in competitions and festivals across the U.S., including the Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) and The Parkening Guitar Competition, where she received masterclass instruction from distinguished guitarists like David Russell, Ana Vidovic and Christopher Parkening. She went on to study classical guitar at the North Carolina School for the Arts as the youngest student admitted in her focus at the age of 17, and la
ter completed her studies in music performance, composition, and foreign language at the University of New Mexico. In addition to her classical studies, Diana sang in a variety of traveling choral groups throughout high school and took small roles in the Broadway musicals ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ and ‘Rent’.

In the course of her studies, Diana was honored with awards of excellence from the National Honors Society of Guitar and recognized for her performances with the critically acclaimed woman’s guitar ensemble, ‘Presti Quartet.’ She was selected two years in a row to perform 1st chair in the New Mexico ALLSTATE Guitar Orchestra - the first-ever young woman to earn that position. The following year she was chosen as one of twelve guitarists to represent music in education in the United States.

In the time since her studies, Diana has called many places home. She lived in New Orleans for several years and in that time her music interests broadened to embrace traditional American forms, such as jazz and the blues. During that time she ran a private music practice, teaching children and young adults to become proficient with music. She continued her travels, her studies and her teachings during the summer of 2017 in Spain. She has been living, studying and teaching in New York City since the fall of 2017, always carrying with her the belief that music should never feel like a chore and that learning music should be curiosity-driven, active, enjoyable, and emphasize self-expression. Diana believes in building a strong foundation of musical knowledge with her students by providing the tools to create good habits from the beginning and encouraging effective, deliberate practice. It is her mission to inspire aspiring musicians as a music educator and bring a life-long love of music to her students.

I grew up being trained classically, and although I value the skills I learned from classical training, I realized that I did miss out on the other aspect of learning piano skills. Those skills include improvisation, creativity, song-writing, and much more! I purposefully incorporate more than just sheet music reading while also trying to make reading music more accessible and relatable. Each student also has different individual goals with piano playing that I think are of utmost importance in the way I teach.

About Jenna
I am a pianist, singer, choral director and lover of many different genres of music from classical and jazz to musical theatre and indie/folk. I graduated from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas with a Bachelor's of Music Education, emphasis in Piano.

If you are studying voice with me, I think you'll find that I am passionate about connecting each of my students to the own unique beauty of their voice and using that connection to bring about free singing, confidence and musicality by way of foundational singing technique. I also have extensive training in a cappella arranging/singing if you are interested in learning how to start/direct your own a cappella group.

My training in classical piano began when I was five year old and I've had some incredible instructors along the way who have enhanced my skills in contempor
ary keyboard, including beginning-intermediate jazz and jazz improvisation. I love to teach students to read sheet music and pursue classical/technical excellence, but also to learn how to play music using chord charts, by ear or all three, depending on your personal goals and preferences.

With a passion for music theory and improv techniques, I love to help students who are aspiring songwriters to develop that creative side, especially in combination with learning piano skills -- they pair very well together!

The most successful musicians I know are well-rounded and have developed solid foundations in technique so that they can perform well in many different styles and adapt quickly. This is such a necessary skill in today's technological world where we can share music from across the world with a click of a button! In my lessons, I love to help my students study a variety of genres.

Speaking of technology, I'd like to make a quick plug for my husband :) He is a fantastic videographer and primarily works for a film producer in the DFW area, but he also loves doing independent creative work on the side. He has experience creating quality music videos and would love to create content for any student interested in this!

I really look forward to meeting you and helping you become a confident, skilled musician!

Over 10 years of teaching experience, Piano is my favorite instrument to teach among others like, Guitar and Ukulele. I believe we really learn the music in a right way with notation, and theory and that is the best way in the music education. It also gave us knowledge to play all keyboard instruments, synthesizers and makes everything easier for the students who likes to record and produce music at their home studio. I have great collection of books, songs that I am ready to share with you. Let's learn and have some real fun.

About Evren
I am a professional guitarist, composer and songwriter. I completed my education at Los Angeles Music College, and UCLA Film Scoring. I extended my studies with a 6 times Emmy award winner composer, and conductor for over 3 years privately in Hollywood, which provided me work for television, and independent films as a musician and a composer.

Music is my passion. I teach guitar students all different ages and levels. I worked professionally as a guitar and bass player for 2 decades, touring, and recording with artists all over the world. I have great and fun material for both guitar and bass guitar students which fits their levels perfectly. I also teach the Ukulele, and it has been one of the most fun experiences for me to connect with students working on Ukulele. I believe anyone can play the Uke.

Studying orchestration require me to
learn and improve my Piano skills whole a lot. I teach Piano now almost 10 years and have excellent books, and other material to learn the Piano in a fun way. I teach all ages, and specifically focus on beginner and intermediate levels since I also have taught Piano group classes last 5 years to same level students that are children and teenagers.

Since I have amazing opportunities to compose music for film and network TV shows, I got requests from students to teach them recording software, such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro X, and Garage Band as well as sample libraries. I can help you get better and faster on recording DAW.

I am open to work with anyone on any styles. Some of my favorites genres are: Classical, Jazz, Funk, Bossa Nova, Latin Jazz, Rock, Blues, Film Music and World Music. I look forward to meeting you, and be a part of your musical journey.

Mr. Evern is an excellent teacher: thoughtful and accommodating (to each child's temperament, abilities, interest and goals) which is most important to me as a parent. My kids are not "naturally" inclined to music and did not exhibit any "natural" talent, and they were skeptical about their ability to learn. But Mr. Evern was encouraging, funny, and fun - and this made all the difference. My children (each with his own very different traits) have taken acoustic guitar, uekelele, and piano with Mr. Evern, and they both love him. As a (non-music) teacher myself, I appreciate his pedagogical methods which take into account the context of each situation. As a parent, I appreciate his encouraging nature.

I enjoy giving lessons tailored to each student's needs and goals. From those who have never played the piano to those who are auditioning for a major music college, I love to help others learn how amazing the piano is.

My style is geared toward the individual, but I do specialize more in teaching: songwriting on piano, music theory on piano, developing great finger technique, sight reading, and learning my student's favorite songs and adapting them to fit their skill level.

I have been teaching piano for over twelve years, and have professional songwriting experience (over 50 compositions published), band and recording experience (major radio-play in America and Europe), and I am classically trained and have a degree in music.

Let me help you achieve your music dreams!

Her prices are great, she is patient, incredibly kind and has an amazing voice! I absolutely recommend her!

Jenelle helped me sooo much with preparing for auditions, understanding breath support, and overall becoming confident in my voice. She helped me unlock a voice I didn’t even know I had! She is so kind and easy to work with and has such a great understanding of music and voice. She can absolutely help you with anything.
