I teach all levels of piano. ear training, music theory, music performance. I teach old fashioned classical music, as well as playing by chords (usually preferred by adult beginners) but also will incorporate
playing by chords with classical training, because it enhances knowledge of music theory. I've developed my own task analysis for learning chord piano, which means I break it down into steps. I focus on keeping the student's enthusiasm and focus on assessing and providing a positive and successful outcome from the first lesson.
About Roseann
I have been teaching piano for almost 40 years. I have a NY state music teachers license, a masters in music therapy from NYU, and a bachelors in Music Education and AFFA certification. I try to keep the student self-motivated by using music that the student likes, as well as covering the basics.
Recent Reviews
Roseann has a very pleasant personality and makes learning the guitar enjoyable and exciting for my six year old daughter. She gives clear and concise instructions that my daughter can understand and follow on her own while practicing at home. I would highly recommend Roesann to anyone interested in learning the guitar.

Book NowI've been teaching the harp since I graduated from Juilliard and my students have accomplished such amazing things with their harp playing! In the first lesson you'll get to create that gorgeous sound that is unique to the harp and you'll learn a song or two! I have harps available for you to rent to get started. We can work out a contact-less exchange. You will need a harp to practice on. If you take in-person lessons, you won't need to bring the harp for lessons. I love working with students of all ages and levels and I can't wait to meet you and work together!
About Wendy
Wendy has been teaching private harp lessons since she graduated Juilliard and teaches lessons online and at her studio in Wilton, CT, and at Sacred Heart University. Wendy also has harps available for rent. She loves working with students of all ages and levels and enjoys finding music that match

Book NowMy teaching style is fun and relaxed! I focus first and foremost on teaching the enjoyment of music, and let everything else develop from there.
During lessons I teach sheet music literacy, violin skills and techniques, music theory, and composition. Sheet music is an important part of playing the violin, so we begin working with it from day one. While teaching new skills and techniques I love to explain why we do things the way we do, and give examples of how it can improve one's sound. This helps make the "boring stuff" much more interesting and fun. In addition, I like to include theory and composition because they wonderfully round out students' musicianship. Theory is key to understanding why music works the way it does, and enables students to collaborate with others in a multitude of settings. Composition is often my students' favorite part of the lesson, because it empowers them and allows them to explore and be creative, while building confidence and technical skills.

Hi, I am Valdis! My motto is "teach as you have been taught". This is how belcanto school survived until nowadays. I spent 17 years of my life studying and singing in Italy before moving to the US. In my opinion, there are two main teachers in every singer's life: the singer himself and the stage. My goal is to teach how to listen to yourself giving the right tools in order to make a singer independent and professionally auto sufficient. Simplicity and naturalness are the keys: these are the principles applied when I was learning and I am trying to continue this tradition without any alteration.
I am a professional opera singer with more than 60 roles in my repertoire (mostly principal). I performed in more than 70 theaters in more than 20 countries: La Scala di Milano, Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, Teatro San Carlo di Napoli, Theater an der Wien, Spoleto Festival USA and many others.
