Character acting is, at least in my eyes, the greatest thrill of the performing arts. Being able to embody the complexities of a person or thing that seems completely different from that of yourself is the ultimate mark of a master of the craft of acting. Join me as we explore the various ranges of the human heart and mind. Create a skill set that will make you a director’s favorite actor. Learn techniques that will not only give you range, but keep you healthy and effective in whatever role you may portray.

I like to teach first from an analytical approach, but then evolve into a point where you can learn to feel in the moment as a character requires. Using proven techniques learned over the 17 years I’ve spent in the business we will prepare you to be able to handle a variety of different roles through technique practices and emotional exercises. I am a current principal ballet dancer with the San Diego Ballet, where I have been dancing for the past 14 years and 9 years as principal dancer. Prior to that I was a member of the Houston Ballet II. My teaching is based on my background of both the Chechetti Method and The French Method. I have the unique ability to be able to share as a professional ballet dancer what it takes to get to the highest level.

I teach all levels, and all ages. I have been teaching in schools all over Southern Calfiornia for the past 14 years, and I am the artistic director of the San Diego Ballet Summer Intensive.
