About Marwan
I started playing piano when I was 3, and began writing music at the age of 6. I've taught music and piano for over 12 years, and tutoring other subjects for over 5 years.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, I graduated from Cornell University in Electrical & Computer Engineering, with a minor in Music.

As a student, I was President of the Cornell Piano Society for 4 years. I spent much time teaching piano and music theory to fellow Cornell students, faculty, and staff. I've also organized many concerts, recitals, and events during my tenure.

After college, I went on to work for Intel & Apple as an engineer, while continuing to teach and tutor on the side. Later on, I founded my own startup company centered around Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, and unmet needs in the B2C market.

I typically travel
to each student's home for lessons. I travel all around the Bay Area: as far north as Richmond, as far south as Los Gatos, as far East as Livermore (and every place in between, including the Peninsula).

I am a tutor who earned a music teaching degree, substitute taught, and didn't become a school teacher. I held professional tech retail jobs and am supplementing my life with my passion - education.

Whatever subject or instrument I teach, I celebrate students' successes; and I enjoy helping learners have new aha moments.

The majority of my students take guitar, bass guitar, or Spanish lessons. I am an educator and help my students learn other skills and knowledge sets too.

I went to Ohio State University for college, earned a BA in Music Education, and graduated Cum Laude. I also spent 4 years in the Ohio State University Marching Band.

Through my healing journey, I've developed patience, insight, and understanding for my students' learning processes.

I'm excited to help you incorporate new skills into your life!

Our son first time playing bassoon. Base on my son experience, he find Joshua to be very nice, patients, and explains a lot of information. It help him understand about the instrument and the sound when he play. He do have a sense of humor which help my son to have fun and be more comfortable. He also teaches other instruments, too. Highly recommended to everyone!!!!

About Tamari (Tamara)
Hi, there! I'm Tamara and I can't wait to meet you!

On social media and for those who are more familiar, I'm Tamari. We all learn in different ways; some are more visual; others, auditory; some, kinesthetic--I combine a number of different modalities in my teaching, including direct feedback-teaching--once you learn a concept or skill, teach it, as soon as you possibly can, to someone else! -- this reinforces your own knowledge of the skill or concept!
I've been teaching private lessons for many years and have loved helping my students acquire new skills, master new pieces, and prepare for concerts and performances. Over the years, my younger students have earned Blue and Gold ratings at the Young Musicians' Festival in Fairfield U., some of them earning gold cups: This is a statewide event to encourage long-term commitment
to the art, discipline and joy of music making.
I attended Indiana University's distinguished Jacob School of Music where I earned a Masters in Piano Performance, and Composition in the '90's. I sang all types of vocal music as well as prepared singers with vocal coaching and voice development techniques 20+ years.
I'm fun loving, patient, and optimistic-- these traits carry through in my teaching style,
One Size does NOT fit all--I approach the lesson plans for each student tailored to your learning style.
Over the past 23 years, my life experiences have encompassed other disciplines and compelled me to learn and acquire many other skills: my liberal arts as well as fine arts education lent itself to helping me work administrative jobs and even expanded into sales and public speaking. I have coached after school and SAT preparation to High School and College age students, helped with the preparation of legal and analytical documents, creative writing and editing assignments; and even tutored computer, social media and Microsoft Office & iWork Suite of applications to older adults. Within the 10 most recent years, I served as Music Director in Catholic, Methodist, Presbyterian and Lutheran Churches, as it is my firm conviction that Music is a universal language which can help deepen the prayer experience while helping to bring comfort and joy.

I look forward to helping you reach your goals

I have known Tamari professionally for fifteen years.
She is an excellent music teacher for piano and voice. Her expertise is noticeable as she patiently meets her student at his/her level and guides that student to the next step.
The process is perfect for any student, even if developmentally challenged and for any age. I highly recommend Tamari.

I've been consistent weekly taking yoga lessons from Tamari at the Y in Canaan CT. I try not to miss it. She's a compassionate and caring yoga teacher and will trailer her classes to fit your needs. Her classes are good for newbies and seniors and those who want a simple class. No athletics. Hatha Yoga are basic yoga stretches that will make you feel good after participating . My aches and pains are gone after each session. To be continued....

Tamara is a very highly qualified, and extremely capable musician and instructor. While away on a leave from my position as music director at a local church, Tamara planned and provided the music for services, and led the congregation's music programs in my absence. While I was away, it was a great comfort to know that Tamara provided quality music for each service. In addition to demonstrating an extraordinary level of musicianship, Tamara is a dependable, and dedicated professional. I am pleased to provide my strongest recommendation!

About Rita
Hello, Students! My name is Rita, and I am excited about being your online Spanish or writing teacher! I have been teaching for 25 years and tutoring in various subjects for many of those years, including in-person private teaching and tutoring as well as online domestic and international teaching and mentoring. For the traditional classroom, I have served in private, charter, and public schools. For most of my career, I have taught levels 1 and 2 of Spanish. Teaching Spanish and learning other languages is my passion, and I am looking forward to sharing that passion with you.

My Spanish lessons are engaging, innovative, and thoughtful - of you! I implement highly effective lessons that engage students and foster their ability to master concepts of the target language. Throughout my career, my greatest assets have been my high work eth
ic, my personality, through which I draw students’ interest, building relationships and rapport with those learners, and dedication to my craft, which has been the prelude to my professional growth.

Now, let's talk about writing! I am currently a middle school writing teacher. My background in writing began at a young age as writing abilities have always seemed natural to me. From creative writing and a love of grammar to proofreading materials without trying, writing has been my niche.

In my lessons, I guide students with step-by-step instructions, explanations, and guided practice. My writing students find my lessons helpful because I break down the details into small, understandable sections. I'm looking forward to helping you meet your essay writing needs. Look no further for a writing teacher who will get you on track.

Reach out to me, and we can plan our first session!

Hi there! As a current graduate student at Boston College I'm looking to help support myself and what better way than to be part of the community and share my love of piano, tennis, philosophy, and the English language with others! Having taken piano lessons throughout grade school, I'm well versed in lesson structuring and beginner to intermediate theory. With me you'll learn enough to "make you dangerous" (as the saying goes) so that you can sightread any music you're interested in playing. Tennis is second nature to me, as I’ve taught for over a decade and played at the collegiate level. I’ve worked with players of all ages to help them improve every aspect of their games. Philosophy and English are my intellectual passions, and I can impart all I’ve learned and help your approach and understanding of the great texts of the canon. My h
ours are very flexible and I have tenured experience working with kids of all ages, and hope to inspire in yours a love of these subjects that will stick with them their entire lives just as mine has
