About Kay
I have been teaching Piano for 16 years now. I have taught students from age 2 1/2 - Adult. I was self-taught when I was a kid and begun taking formal lessons as a very young adult in my early twenties. I graduated from CSULB with my BA in Music with a concentration on Voice. As a Music major you spend a lot of time at the Piano. I became a member of MTAC in 2004 and a member of Sigma Alpha Iota in 1998. I have a great passion for Music and a bigger passion for the Piano and sharing the wonders of how beautiful the Piano really is.

*** Lesson Details ***
In my opinion, piano is the hardest instrument to learn but the most rewarding. If you can play piano you can pretty much play any instrument. I believe that a piano lesson should be fun. I'm a strict teacher with a smile and a giggle. I push my students to greatness while helping the
m love the piano through the good times and the bad. I'm a very encouraging but honest teacher. I compliment when warranted and I assess not so good performances in an honest but encouraging manner. I always let a student know that though their performance was not their best, they can and will improve. It's always only a matter of time. I use the Schaum and Nevin series depending on the student's personality. I teach Classical and Pop Music. It's important for a student to learn the Classics just as important as it is for them to play things they like. I find the happy balance between the two. I teach Beginning to Intermediate levels. I also like to incorporate Music theory into the lessons because understanding the mechanics of Music helps make playing and creating Music much easier to accomplish. A typical lesson will start off with a hand drill warm up. We then will move on to the lesson book and repertoire. Theory will be assigned as homework. I look it over at the beginning of the lesson and discuss it and answer any questions in the last five minutes of class. Baby lessons go as followed: 15 mins. of play time and 15 mins of Music theory. I like to keep structure in my lessons but sprinkle a little joy and laughter to keep the atmosphere light. It makes for a much more attentive Piano student.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I expect the student to have a Piano or Keyboard of some sort. I may provide music on occasion.

About Beatrice
I have over 20 years’ experience. I have been working for major fashion brands companies in NYC. I am experienced with working with beginners, intermediate and all levels. I am offering industry level sewing classes and pattern correcting and altering techniques that will cater to your needs. I will be able to teach foundation skills of how to operate a sewing machine, how to use a serger or how to use an industrial sewing machine. I will also teach how to hand sew, follow and understand a pattern and how to finish your work beautifully. I am also going to work with you on your own personal projects.
I teach hands on beginner’s patternmaking and sewing skills that you will need for garment production, arts and crafts and any project that involves sewing. For instance: I can help you make pillows, bags, aprons, stuffed toys and other hou
sehold items. If you want to make clothing, I will guide you through using a published pattern.
I will work closely with you to make sure you understand the project and to make sure you properly construct a quality finished project.
I have been sewing since I was in 3rd grade and was making doll clothes for my Barbie dolls and clothes for myself by the time I was in 9th grade. I also used to work closely with a Tailor/dressmaker as an apprentice during my summer holidays in 10th grade.

Students are expected to provide all tools and materials.

Recommended duration is 2 hours.

Worst in teaching than her?Certainly, You will find millions of teacher around the world.
Best in teaching than her? Probably, you might find a very few teachers that can meet this criteria.
Like her? You will never find a teacher like her. Not only she knows sewing , then she knows how to teach people to sew. I have seen her turning students to CEO. I have seen her changing life of her students by giving them the opportunity to sew for themselves, their families or even make money from sewing.
She is very knowledgeable, joyful, honest and very professional.

About Barbara
Hello! I'm Barbara.

I am an entrepreneur, business owner, and designer. As a naturally gifted seamstress with some high school and college experience, I've been sewing for 15+ years now and I love it!

My mother first noticed my interest as a child when she saw me making my Barbie dolls clothing out of my old t-shirts. She purchased me my first sewing machine that I still own and use to this day. I've been sewing ever since!

Sewing is fun and easy when you have a great instructor. With me, you will have fun expressing your creativity while learning basic sewing skills at the same time.

I hope you will have the same passion for the game in which I have had, and yet I want you too be skeptical in my instruction as well. There is no one man that can predict the future or see through the cards in a poker session, but I will say this, if you are in a poker tournament and there are five hundred to one thousand entries, I can give you the knowledge to make it to the top ten seats.
