I teach children, teens, and adults using a variety of music and and methods. I teach keyboard harmony and music theory, as well as by _ear_. I'll happily answer your questions.

I am patient and accomodating to my students. I draw on a diverse body of repretoire and experience.

Exactly what I teach, and how quickly we progress varies from student-to-student.

I have a B.M. degree in Music Technology.

About Sean
Anyone can sound great on a piano! Let me show you how.

I am a gentle and patient teacher. My students like me.
I have experience with _all_ ages, including little children, older children, pre-teens, teens, young adults, and older.

When I started teaching, I assumed that many beginners -- especially children -- would prefer to learn music by-ear. Based on my own personal experience as a child learning piano, I found that to be the easiest, most-intuitive, and rewarding way to develop musically.

However, in my more recent experience as a _teacher_, I appreciate how every student is unique and will learn best in different ways, using different approaches and methods. Some of the children I have taught, for example, demonstrated a propensity and affinity for visual pattern recognition. Some children seem to be more engaged when t
hey have something to read. It holds their attention. Also, after the lesson is over, my student would have something to reference throughout the week to remember what notes to play.

I have taught a variety of adults, teens, and children over the past three years. I have a B.M. degree in Music and Technology. Myself, I have played piano (and other keyboard instruments) for over 20 years.

One approach I can take with adult students is to help them achieve a musical sophistication and richness without complexity and great difficulty. Being able to create music that is enjoyable to listen to isn't as hard as some might assume. Please contact me to show you how.

I teach many of my students how to play their favourite songs.
This includes simple melodies that little children like, as well as teenagers and adults ("Can You Feel the Love Tonight", "Killing Me Softly" and "Misty", for example).

I teach a variety of music -- "Classical" (formal European compositions), Rock/Pop, Modal/Impressionistic (which might strike some listeners as Jazz-influenced Jazz-flavoured) music.
I been working on writing many transcriptions of my favourite songs/compositions. I'd love to share these with you and teach you how to play some of that music!
I'll teach you your favorite songs, that _you_ like best. I've done exactly that for several of my students.

Much of the value that I provide in each lesson is that I travel to the residences of my clients. I am _not_ metered by-the-minute. Lesson times are just mere guidelines for scheduling (and billing) purposes. Pre-designated time slots like 30 minutes are somewhat arbitrary (for example, a difference between 30 minutes and 33, or 36 minutes). Every student is different. What is important is the musical content and progress that my student makes.

I teach beginning and intermediate piano for adults and children. I will teach you to read music and understand the theory that goes behind it. Like teaching voice I start with a classical foundation then build from there, along with scales, arpeggios, chords/structure, etc. Then from there we dive into whatever music you wish to play. Whether you want to work through books like Faber's Piano Adventures, or Alfred's Adult technique books or you just want to learn to play your favorite songs, I will help you navigate how to play!

Fantastic! Scott really can customize exercises and your training to your goals. I was worried I would be doing opera or classical focused training, but he is helping me towards the pop and modern sound I am going for! Recommend 10/10 times!

Scott Mulligan is the best acting coach I could hope for. He took a very special interest in me and my talent. And he put his own reputation on the line in order to recommend me to a talent agency, and I got it! I am now working as a professional actor and I couldn’t have done it without Scott Mulligan.

I believe all the most important musical skills can be developed across all genres. My goal is to develop rhythmic, harmonic, and technical fundamentals that will unlock a wide range of repertoire and help a student play all of their favorite pieces. I like to keep it interesting and encourage playing in many different styles, as well as focusing on listening, improvisation, and writing. This well-rounded approach helped me develop as a young musician and I hope to bring that to my students as well!

About Christopher
I'm originally from Columbus and started out on piano when I was 8. I also sing and play trumpet and euphonium, and have dabbled in guitar and bass as well. I particularly enjoy writing and arranging, and I studied composition at University of Miami. I have a passion for teaching and the bulk of my experience actually comes in SAT, ACT, and math tutoring. I believe a musical education enhances those subject areas (and vice versa) and I take the same approach of finding an individualized method to help my student meet their goals. Outside of music and teaching, I enjoy running, tennis and cooking.

Composer/Arranger/Theorist/Instructor/Pianist/Percussionist of 19 years. Very caring, energetic, and patient. I can teach you how to play your favorite songs, I can teach you to write your own songs, and I can teach you how to improvise like a pro! I am experienced in teaching classical technique as well as pop, and all styles from jazz to contemporary. I also integrate a healthy amount of music theory in lessons, which really solidifies your understanding of how music works. You'll be writing your own piano concertos in no time!

About Zack
I am a professional composer for video games and film! I created the company, Moving Dimensions, in 2014 and have been producing and writing music for my own video games ever since.

I've been writing music ever since I was old enough to hold a pencil. After 19 years of perfecting my craft, I want to pass on the information I have learned. I double majored in music composition and music theory from the University of Louisville in 2012.

I began my teaching career right out of high school, I arranged music for, and instructed marching band percussion students. A few years later, I moved onto writing music for, teaching, and directing musical theater. All while giving private lessons in composition and piano on the side. I then spent 6 years in Los Angeles, writing for the big screen and getting my own video game production company off
the ground. I learned a tremendous amount working with film and musical directors out there, and when the company became self-sustaining, I moved close to family in PA.

Because of my enthusiasm for music, by excellent communication skills, and overwhelming amount of patience, I can teach you to become an expert on music composition, arranging, orchestration, music theory, playing things by ear, the piano, any percussion instrument, and even improvisation! I'm very fluent in all styles of music, from R&B and jazz to classical and contemporary. Reach out today and schedule a lesson! Let's play music!

What is unique about me is my experience at a young age. I have been in several bands of different genres and I play 6 instruments as well as sing. Having a multi Instrumentalist teacher is an advantage because not only can I teach your instrument of choice but I can teach how your instrument relates and fits in with other instruments. I also have a home studio where I do my lessons. Not only do I teach instruments but also songwriting/ arrangement, Audio or Video production 101, social media management 101, and band 101.I consider myself a one stop shop. I can help anyone from beginners learning their first chord to the garage band looking for advice on how to take the next step and get out of the garage. I pride myself in my ability to communicate the information you need to empower your creativity without the process feeling like to much work. Right from the start we will learn some of your favorite songs to learn the techniques needed to take you to the next step in your playing. ...
