My English lessons will focus on using grammar, writing and speech in real life situations. As an English teacher, I have much experience with the English structures, vocabulary, and communication skills.
Everyone has a beautiful voice. Let me teach you how to make it heard.
My passion for music is the most pervasive quality of my personality. Consequently, passing that passion on to others is what brings me the most joy in life. My goal is to spread the love and appreciation for this unique and transcending art form through guidance, performance, and instruction. As my student, you will receive exactly what you (or your child) want out of the lessons-you are the one controlling what you want from them (be it any style of music, professional track or just for fun, music theory, and performance) and I am there to provide it. Music is nothing short of extremely fun and completely liberating.
I have always loved to sing and play guitar and piano starting from a young age, and I never gave up my determination and passion for perfor
ming. In middle and high school I did many musicals (Jekyll and Hyde, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Oliver, Miss Saigon, Little Shop of Horrors, Footloose, Kiss Me Kate, and Cats) and sang in the choir (including the California All State Honor Choir and Jazz Choir). I played guitar in the school Jazz Band and participated in many jam sessions out of school. I also participated in many piano competitions, including ones for my own composition (I received an honorable mention for one of my own piano works). In college, I received a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Redlands. I have recently completed my Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Redlands. I have performed many opera roles including Suor Angelica in Puccini's Suor Angelica, Violetta in Verdi's La Traviata, the Queen of the Night in Mozart's The Magic Flute, and Fiordiligi in Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutte, and Najade in Strauss' Ariadne auf Naxos. I was also in the University Chapel Singers Choir, Madrigals Choir, and Treblemakers a Capella Jazz choir. I currently reside in Germany where I am teaching online lessons to students all over the world, teaching English, and pursuing an opera career. So far I have sung the role of the Queen of the Night in Weimar, Germany and have done a few concerts singing Christine from the Phantom of the Opera.
"Hard work beats talent if talent does not work hard." This is my favorite quote. I truly believe that hard work will take you anywhere, no matter where your starting point is. With hard work and determination, you can be anything you want to be. With motivation, anyone can be a beautiful singer, guitarist, and pianist. If I did not believe this with all my heart, I would not be where I am today. To me, every student has great potential. It is my job and joy to bring out that potential and cultivate it into talent, love, and passion.
My lessons are fun and rewarding. I do not believe that a critical environment is one that is healthy or pleasant to learn in. Therefore, I am a very encouraging, patient, and supportive teacher, and I will praise you for your improvements, as well as help you correct your difficulties. I like to think of my lessons as a team effort, with more emphasis on working together and having fun. With that being said, I believe that you get what you put in out of our lessons. The more you practice and the more you show me determination and motivation, the more we can have fun, improve technique, and really make music in our lessons.
I customize each lesson to my student, so you tell me what you want to sing or play and what your goals as a musician are, and I will instruct you (or your child) in the exact way that fits your goals and interests. After a couple months with me, you will have a new found passion for music, knowledge of proper technique, reading and diction, and the skills to perform and communicate pieces of music. Most importantly, you will have the time of your life!
My voice lessons consist of vocal warm-ups where you learn proper technique and posture, breathing exercises to expand your diaphragm and support when you sing, and Repertoire work where you apply the technique you learned, practice performance skills, and learn diction of English, Italian, German, Hebrew, or French.
My guitar and piano lessons start with learning how to read music (if you do not know already) and being familiar with the keys or frets and the notes on the staff. Then we work on pieces of music, paying attention to the key factors of musicianship including rhythm, interpretation, dynamics, composition, musicality, and performance practice. My music theory lessons are based on whatever the student wants to learn or needs instruction on. I teach anywhere from basic music notation to advanced harmonic and formal analysis.
My speaking and lessons are similar to my voice lessons, minus the singing aspect-the same technique we use for singing is the technique we must use for speaking if we want to be heard, be healthy, and not get tired or worse - lose our voice. We work on breathing and projection techniques and then practice on a reading sample or presentation.
My acting lessons consist of different improv-acting games, projection techniques, and monologue and role studies. You will learn how to communicate a message to the audience clearly and effectively while having a wonderful time!
My language and tutoring classes are focused on fluency-getting comfortable speaking in the target language. We go through chapters of a lesson plan I created myself-learning vocabulary and grammar by learning the functions of them and completing speaking goals. After just a few lessons, you will find that you will be able to converse in your target language. Your individual pace is the most important to me, so we learn at the speed that you are the most comfortable with.
All I expect from you is to bring a pencil, a good attitude, and the willingness to practice and work hard in our lessons, and I will supply the rest! Looking forward to hearing your beautiful music or voice!
I teach English grammar, pronunciation, and can help with writing as well. Basically, anything concerning the English language, I can help.
Hi! I’m Jaci and I’m a linguist. I’ve studied Spanish for 13 years and linguistics for 6 years. I have a BA in Spanish and am ESL certified. After tutoring non-native English speakers at the college level for years, I found a love for phonology (study of speech sounds) and so found my niche in accent reduction, or accent modification. It’s essentially the process of modifying a person’s pronunciation so their speech is more easily understood by native speakers. While working on my Masters, I helped pilot a university program to help students from all over the world speak clearer. Each semester, my students would come to me twice a week— and my lessons bore favorable results!
I am an experienced language instructor with a demonstrated history of working in administrative, healthcare, communication and localization industries. I am ski
lled in translation, Spanish and English grammar, foreign accent reduction (PESL), management, customer service and global travel. I have a strong education, including an MA ESL certification. While working in the University setting, I first focused on Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language (ESL) language, then progressed to accent modification for non-native English speaking Teaching Assistants (TA), then included students in nursing, engineering and more.
I love to connect one-on-one to analyze, make a personalized lesson plan, and help each person get what they need. Let’s get to work on improving your intelligibility! :)

I have taught fifth graders as well as college students. I apply an easy learning method and am patient with my students. I will help you build a strong foundation both in your writing and speaking skills.
I am an English teacher and have taught college as well as primary school students. I have a Masters degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. I also have a degree in law. I truly enjoy teaching English. This journey began way back in 1983 when I was asked to volunteer as a teacher in my daughter's kindergarten school. Teaching English to non speakers and speakers alike is a patient process for a teacher. I really take care in assessing a students grasping ability. I have experience in writing as I worked as a journalist and wrote columns for a daily in India. In law school, I taught legal English to first semester law students. I will work with my students to help them overcome any difficulties they have in spoken and written English.

If spoken properly and intelligently, it is extremely unique. It is such a colorful and elastic language! Nuances are shaped by tone and word choice. New idioms can be created and understood by others. It is constantly shaped by other languages, pop culture, geography, generations.. more so than any other language. It is the language of the world. Of business, Hollywood, poetry and song. Think of all the hundreds of accents and how each of them make you feel, whether they be harsh, sexy, romantic, cute, intelligent. A combination of all these and more puts English in the category of unique languages.
Hi there! i am Lenin i'm undergraduate in the Nation school of public works annex Buea, i'm 26 years old. I have extensive tutoring experience in a variety of fields. I met Tia during one of her seminars. I started taking life coaching classes with her immediately. I had many issues: my health was falling apart, I was getting depressed, my relationships with people didn't work well, and I really hated my job. So, slowly we started working on all these areas. I won't get into details, but she is not just a motivational teacher, she is searching for answers. She is taking every client so closely to her heart. I'm glad I decided to work on myself. It is a process, but I get so much more focused. I know what I want. And I am confident I can achieve what I want. This is so new to me. I learn to accept myself, love my past and be open to my future. I don't blame myself for my mistakes. I know - now I know better. She is a kind person. She doesn't judge you. No matter what you've done. She is teaching you to see how your past affects your future. She connects the dots. And works hard with you to open your future. Tia is also a yoga and meditation coach and two months ago I started taking her yoga sessions as well. She teaches you how to breath correctly, how to eat right, now to meditate and do yoga postures. I'm on the right track. And I recommend this teacher. Certainly.

I take singing, songwriting and piano lessons with Tia for a few years already! I started - i didn't know much about music, but i had big dreams! Now I have my band, I write, record. I even had a small tour in NY and NJ! I love singing, performing - this is my best therapy and I love helping people with my music. My pitch and rhythm are good now and I had problems before. My songwriting skills improve too. Tia believes that everyone is talented. And she helps you rediscover yourself and unlock your full potential.
