About Carl
As far back as I can remember I have always enjoyed performing music. I can remember during my elementary school years how I would play drums during church service. Some days I would sneak in my dad's closet to play his saxophone. I began learning how to play saxophone in middle school and by the ti

out more about singing if you need a voice instructor go to her!:):):)"

With all of the music teachers in LA and the world, it is difficult to choose the best. With Fawn, I believe 100% that I have found the best. She is well educated, well rounded and versed in all the musical styles, up on the latest musical trends, yet knows the composers, songwriters and vocalists of yesteryears. She is passionate, fun, compassionate, patient, loving, kind and has a college degree from the 2 top music schools in the world. She has a thorough understanding of music theory, performance, voice, piano and the many ins and outs of the music industry. She is able to teach her students the theory behind the songs they are learning to play, sing, write and record. She is great at sharing the musical journey with her students, guiding them with honesty, tender care and knowledge. My daughter has grown leaps and bounds with Fawn and absolutely loves her. Sheâs helped change her voice into her authentic voice, taught her how to get over stage fright, how to turn her poems into song lyrics and how to produce her own vocals in the recording studio. She is quite simply, the best."

I've been enjoying music and singing every since I started taking lessons with Ms. Christine. I now give monthly dances and include karaoke with prizes; I'm a featured singer/host and it's been WONDERFUL. Never would have thought voice lessons could bring so much meaning to my life. Forever grateful. Thanks so very much :)"

As an improvisor his main influences are Sonny Stitt, Dexter Gordon, and Joshua Redman. For any jazz musician on any instrument he is a master instructor of bebop. His overall playing versatility is solid but his forte is bebop. He is simply a beast of bebop and can aptly guide you along the path of musical enlightenment. Also, like most great jazz musicians his piano chops are excellent."

me. Men, women, boys, & girls of all ages and various degrees of
achievement stand before their audience with confidence. They have
practiced, not only the pieces which they play, but showmanship, not
pushy or cocky, but polite and welcoming. They make eye contact and
smile; some invite the crowd to sing along on the choruses. Even the
1st year students exude confidence.
The crowd returns those smiles, along with cheers and clapping. One
can tell that Karen has kindly and persistently shown and encouraged
each student. If any show fear, she does not chide; she accompanies
them in the performance and nods approval as they continue. I watch
that fear subside. They are then met with handshakes and pats on the
back. Next time, they will be even more eager to share the pieces that
they worked on and not expect criticism.
Karen picks a theme and arranges guitar, piano, and voice selections,
intermingled into a program that leaves a person well entertained and
planning to come back next time. I am not related to any of the
participants and have no obligation to be at the recitals. I love the
music, the talent, and the progress that I see and hear. You, too,
will be glad you came."
