Hi there!

I've been playing the Trombone for over 12 years, and bass trombone specifically for 3 years. I'm available for beginning Trumpet, Euphonium, and Tuba lessons as well. I can also help you learn theory, ear training, sight reading, composition, or arranging! As a music educator, I've learned how to adapt my teaching to fit various learning styles and modalities. My lessons are tailored to you to fit your needs and help you grow as a musician. Specializing in beginning to intermediate students, but all ages are welcome. My joy as a teacher comes from seeing others improve, and I want to help all my students reach their musical potential. Let's get started!

Music has been my passion since starting lessons age 7 and training for years in performance, composition and theory, culminating in a masters degree from The Royal Academy of Music in London, England. Learning to read music well with enjoyment, musicality and strong technique is my main focus. I cover music from different periods in history, including music being composed today. I work with children age 5 to adults with all levels of experience. I have taught children in schools and privately in my home studio where I have an upright acoustic Schulze Pollmann (German/Italian) piano and a Yamaha keyboard with weighted keys. I realize there are a lot of different teachers on this website, but I am set apart by my teaching style. As a voice student all my life, I was always so annoyed about having to spend months to get results from teachers who drew out my progress to get more money. I don't play that way. Students will learn how to properly learn and play the clarinet from the absolute basics to a high, intermediate level and beyond in various styles.
Beginners: The basics of embouchure, technical skills, proper breathing techniques, ability to read music.
Intermediate: Playing intermediate level solo pieces, refining technique, extending range, learning how to play music by ear and performing in various styles, from classical to jazz.
