So you'd like to play the card game bridge? I've been playing since I was 10--and that's a long time! These lessons are intended for beginners or low intermediate players. I will take you from just knowing the name of the game, all the way to how to bid and play. I can do this one on one, or with you and a partner.

If you already know the game a little, and would like to do some playing--grab a partner and a deck of cards, and let's meet on line to play the grand daddy of all card games. It is an absolutely wonderful time. For these lessons, you'll meet my husband AND me, and we'll play bridge "virtually" with YOU!

A note: it is difficult or impossible to teach the complicated bidding and play of bridge in less than an hour, initially. If you wish to have 45 minute lessons, I recommend that for the initial 4 lessons, you schedule 2 at a time. After you become more familiar with the basics of play, we can likely accomplish all you need in 45 minutes--but we will not have

I love to teach what Eddie Kantar calls "thinking bridge". One of the aspects of thinking bridge is ability to count hands: distribution of suits and points.

Another, is learning DEFENSE. Every bridge player, on an average, defends 50% of a time, declares 25%, and does nothing another 25%.
